Bumbershoot, Seattle 2010 (LONG)
so it was amazing. let's see, drove to seattle with my friend dutton.
uh, first day there we just hung out in seattle, spent the night in his car, haha, and lurked around. we walked so much the night before and the
morning before bumbershoot we were already limping and our knees hurt. so sad.
so got to bumbershoot and lurked around for a bit, no one cool played until late.
checked out some band called Idiot Pilot...TERRIBLE, it was screamo crap.
then checked out a movie about old Seattle 60's soul music, it was pretty sick!
then as we were walking out, we walked past some people who looked really familiar, turned around, they turned around too, it was Christian, Josh and
Orpheo!!! LOVE THEM!!
talked with them for a second, they loved Jerry Hsu's part in that Stay Gold skateboard video.
so, told them that i'd be seeing them shortly & we went our separate ways.
checked out HEALTH, not good. haha
checked out that 60's soul band, pretty awesome, i enjoyed it.
then we went to the Zeros' stage WAY BEFORE, like at least an hour....and Jamie Lidell played...
he was alright. pretty funny and the songs weren't too bad.
THEN ZEROS. the crowd was frickin ridiculous, pushing up against me (i was right up front along barrier). so many people.
stewart noticed me as they were setting up, and then Aaron Embry walked out!!!
i yelled for him and he jumped down from the stage, gave me a hug and it was amazing!! hahaha. we talked for a second, he brought Mayla and Nikki!!
he reached in to his pants, (i think looking for some sort of backstage pass?), but didn't have any. told me to stick around after the show. then
let's see.

Om Nashi Me (stewart jumped down at the beginning, gave me a hug yes! haha)
(the festival had set times, so the setlist was short, super bummed, but still amazing)
crowd loved it, ESPECIALLY HOME, my GOD they love jade.
and when alex chucked his wife beater into the crowd they were basically mauling other humans to touch it. haha
yada, yada, yada....hung around. wanted to get backstage, couldn't, aaron had to get mayla to bed at their hotel.
so went and saw Bob Dylan!! saw alex their, talked to him for a second (he said the show felt weird at the beginning), then dutton and i walked to
their bus around the block, saw aaron (older), josh, alex, christian, and nico there.
didn't get to talk to anyone for too long, they looked tired and i was pretty woozy.
anyways I LOVE THE ZEROS. it was really nice to see everyone again, nicest people ever. haha
i want to be a genius,
but not reach my full potential.

hahahahha yeah i would have gone into a bit more detail on other bands and what not...but i felt like the story was already TOO long for internet
standards. haha
but yeah, nikki and aaron are amazing!! some of my favorite people hhaa

yeah i was so pumped to see them!!
he brought mayla out and she was just staring at the huge crowd before the show...and he put her up to the piano and i think she tried to play it, she
just hit a few keys. haha
they need to update their merch site!
i wanted to get a shirt, but they were all packed away deep..
but they had girls shirts out, and they were new and tie dyed.
