I wanna rock like karen o. It's very hard for a girl to rock as hard as she does and still be feminine. When I'm in a band, she will be my inspiration for stage presence and all, if that makes any sense. :rolleyes:

To go back to the original subject, I love The Killers!! :D

I saw them at this tiny club last night in San Francisco. The stage is only raised a few inches, and I was right in the center against the stage. Brandon was just a couple inches away from me!

They're really awesome live. Great stage presence and all. Afterwards, I got Brandon's water bottle (hey, I was thirsty! :P ) and a guitar pick.

ok...let me start by saying I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about Karen O. She annoys me...I could really dig deep and say why but it's not appropriate for this board. I don't like her voice or her look......it's so "I graduated from the Art Institute and want to be noticed" look. Sorry....and that drummer is so off it's pathetic......they may put on a good live show but it's not my thing.....eesh! :no:

Hot Fuss

The Killers' debut is just what media giants launching prototype indie rock radio stations are looking for--garage revivalists with a fondness for synthesizers and a refined, carefully mussed presentation. Whether or not they're the next White Stripes or Strokes, they do offer a few tunes with snappy lyrics and nu-wave soul. In fact, they employ gospel singers to chime in on a couple of songs. But for the most part, The Killers are kicking up trodden soil that Interpol and Ima Robot have already flagged with considerably more panache.

now back to the killers: i love them! they sound more like - maybe the cure how i want them to be. they're different from what i expected them to be! thought they were the next party band.. now the album is much.. let's say, deeper than i imagined.. great!

I'm going to New York again in August...and I might see them at the Bowery Ballroom! I'm definitely seeing The Libertines there the next day. Already have tickets. But, I don't have tickets for The Killers and it sold out

So now I have to peruse craigslist and e-bay.

I'm definitely seeing them in San Francisco on August 31st, though! :D

ok, people...don't get me way off point...I like this band. Their video is cool for the single, but fuck...it's bullshit. Not how, but why is a band 'like this' way popular and yet Ima Robot is well...still just a blip under the radar in the scheme of things...the Dynomite video that I know and the Jed the fish KROQ catch of the day, Dynomite, I heard that day are way more 'killer' than this ...nothing personal...just an observation. I'm thinking live, it won't stand up.

shittt me too..well San Fran was cool, i went this past weekend to visit my sis. What a cool city, iv been there over 10 times and i never get bored. Seriously, its about $120 from LAX to OAK round trip. pretty good. But i dont know about hotels, luckily i can stay at my sis's.

indie rock and roll is by far the worse song on the album. my fave is either andy your a star or jenny was a friend of mine. woo the killers though!!:D

So slow, JUST got this CD. I like it a lot. Cannot believe I heard "Somebody Told Me" on the local megaclearchannel #1 local radio station...I dance like a crazy person whenever I hear it but I hoped this band would incubate for a little while before blowing big.

i loved opening this thread and seeing the first post, asking if anyone knew who they were XDD had to remember it was from 2004.

that being said, they rock. through all albums. Listen to Mr. Brightside back to back to Spaceman, and you cant say they ever lost their touch.
