Hope everyone is well and happy. :) - Jackie

poobs - 12-26-2003 at 05:46 PM

Let's see..Watched my son practically poop his pants when he opened his telescope and GameCube..That was fun..Some harsh words thrown in my mom's direction from my brother in regards to her new fake boobies(They look so ridiculous!)..Got to sit at the head of the table since festivities were held at my own home for the first time ever! All in all, good times..:D

lomax - 12-27-2003 at 02:35 AM

TurtleEnterprises - 12-27-2003 at 10:52 AM

Tell your brother not to be hatin on Mom...:P

poobs - 12-27-2003 at 12:50 PM

Dude..My sister and I are evil..We got her dancing around like a fool on my web-cam thing..But, to save my mom some face, the two of us will enjoy it in private..Well, maybe we'll share it with 100 of our close friends..;) We love our mom, but when she starts bitching about not having any money while those things are practically hitting her chin, we have to give her some grief..

MichelleRene - 12-27-2003 at 01:36 PM

Damn, your Mom must be a hip kind of chick! I guess she'll be singing: "All I got for Christmas are my 2 new boobs"!

For Christmas I had to watch my parents two maltese dogs, including both of mine. This is what was left under my tree when I got home from my Grandmoms:

Dude, XMAS eve it was raining on my way home from work, and KXLU played a few tracks of theirs. They sounded decent. I remembered the name thinking about Capricorn.

seacaptain - 12-28-2003 at 04:53 PM

Cool, I don't think I know that song. But I don't have their latest album. I like them a lot though, they're very intimate, lo-fi, with cool lyrics. I've been in a sort of sad folk song mood the last few months.

It certainly was a bummer cleaning up!
How was American Wedding? It looks really funny. Did you like 28 Days Later? I really liked that movie. It was so gloomy and creepy-and scarey in a "Maybe it could happen way". So much better than "Wrong Turn". That was pretty bad. The inbreds kinda freaked me out a little.

Oh, Seacaptain cheer up. No more sad folk songs aloud! Just happy cheery songs!!:P

That's what Ima Robot is for! :)

Anyway, I'm cheering up, I'm back in Cali for a few weeks, far far away from law school, snowstorms, stress, grades, my heat not working well, my laptop breaking, and this one girl ... *sigh*

RiffRaff - 12-28-2003 at 09:34 PM

I scored a whole lot of nice clothes (most of which I bought myself and had shipped to my mom's hosue -- really the only way to do christmas) and some other cool stuff, including the Once Upon a Time In the West, Reflections of Evil, and the Adventures of Antoine Doinel DVDs. A good haul for sure.

I think you should go to some of the Robot shows in CA and meet yourself a nice (new) girl! You know she has impeccable taste if she's at one of their shows. Plus you're in CA! Enjoy the weather and beautiful CA girls while your on break! Things will get better-give it a little time..............:)

Oh man you have no idea how close this is to home. There's been a lot of protest at this house in the neighborhood owned by the owner of HLS. They spray painted his house, and then a few weeks later gave a protest, so we all went to see what the hoopla was, and got some literature on the website. Check this story out, and prepare for tears:

http://www.shacamerica.net/james_intro.htm

I totally understand where they're coming from, but that movie made them look really stupid. No doubt funded by the big companies.

American Wedding was funny too. Can't go wrong with Stiffler. Also saw Rob Zombies House of a Thousand Corpses. I am never taking anymore road trips.

I saw it a few months ago. I really didn't think it was that scarey, but more gross. Kind of a bite off of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Of course if I was in that situation I'd be scared to death.

I couldn't finish reading the story about James the monkey on that website. I am a huge animal lover and it makes me sick to think of theses assholes who abuse them. I'd love to put them in a lab and do the same to them. Animal haters SUCK!!!

lomax - 12-31-2003 at 02:20 AM

haha. on graham norton the other day (talking of animal haters) he said that there was some law in minnisoeta (speling!?!) which said it was illegal to have sex with a live fish. devil. an actual law in the constitution. of ocurse - theres nothing against sex with dead fish!:o

AHHHH!:wow::wow::wow::wow::o

draconian - 1-2-2004 at 09:51 PM

I'm watching 28 Days Later right now and hating it. The main character's motivations are so random. Actually am rooting for the army guys at this point to get rid of the lead. Nothing bugs me more in a movie than irrationality for the sake of plot.

However, I've gotta find out how they filmed some of the empty cityscapes. They must have cg'd out the movement?

lomax - 1-3-2004 at 07:39 AM

oh, i heard about that. they got hot chicks to walk up and down the roads just out side the area, put barriers up and basically haulted the city for a couple of minutes at a time. those scenes are just awsome

MichelleRene - 1-3-2004 at 10:57 AM

Ah, you didn't like the movie Drac. I guess it's kinda gloomy and all but you didn't think it was creepy? When it got to the part with the soldiers I thought it was kinda weird, with the other soldier they had chained up in the courtyard. He was nasty!

Anybody see any good movies over the holiday? Bruce Almighty was cute.

lomax - 1-3-2004 at 01:29 PM

nothing at the pictures, but saw castaway for the first time and i saw high fidelity for like the millionish time. its great. better than the book. any one else like nick hornby?
