Josh Groban

Neuwave - 1-17-2004 at 08:35 PM

You know what? PBS Rocks!:D

Just loungin around, and stumble on this pledge drive for KCET. Always a favorite on Saturday NIghts. This weeks feature:

Josh Groban

And wow! Violinist Lily Hayden he does a duet with...:wow:

Anyway, I know I'm a Dork, but can't forget the fine arts.:D

TurtleEnterprises - 1-18-2004 at 02:11 PM

Dork!!!

Phobiac - 1-18-2004 at 03:52 PM

Dude, my mom loves Josh Groban. My mom is old.

I purchased some tickets for her to the Josh Groban "gig" at the Shrine this January; pricey tickets...that cat sure is able to get a premium on tickets. I had to pay $300 for row 12 orchestra seats, which should have run $500+.

Anyway, that's my mother's world, not mine; but I am glad to see that you are cultured Neuwave.

Neuwave are you having your Bridge night again this week? And how is your needle point coming along?

I enjoy watching the crafts on PBS during the weekends. I hate when they say "we'll be back!" and the pledge drive comes on for about an hour and by the time the show comes back on i forgot i was watching 8)
This one time I was watching a Barry Manalow concert and he did 5 songs and they had a one hour intermission and made people pledge I was like wtf
Have any of you seen the episode of the simpsons when homer donates $10,000 to PBS and betty white comes after him along with the teletubbies hahaha

Awesome Vin! You caught that. Do you know anything more about her? I was totally fantasizing on what it would be like to have her as a girlfriend it would kind of be like having an angel the way she plays the violin, and sings so angelic-like. Reminded me of the Harp in Jack and the Beanstalk.:D I dunno I was trippin. Anyway she's bad-ass.

seacaptain - 1-23-2004 at 03:04 PM

Not really, I don't know much about her, besides that she's hot. I saw her guest solo at the Jimmy Page and Robert Plant concert in Irvine a few years back. That was pretty cool. She has a website (with pictures): http://www.lilihaydn.com

Neuwave - 1-23-2004 at 03:25 PM

Thanks for that site. Now I can check out some of her tracks.

seacaptain - 1-23-2004 at 06:08 PM

And by "tracks," I know you mean "picture gallery."

Aw man! I missed that too? I thought Beyonce was doing the anthem. Just a thought: what was Beyonces' mom thinking with that name? I wonder if it had anything to do with "Bounce", because she sure does have a lot of bounce per ounce.

poobs - 2-2-2004 at 11:23 PM

Beyonce did the National Anthem..Josh sang some song in rememberance of the NASA crew that died last year..So cheesy..They had some guy in a space suit come out of this dome and place an American flag on it..Oh man..Who comes up with this shit??

MichelleRene - 2-3-2004 at 06:58 AM

Whooops.....sorry, you're right Poobs, Beyonce did sing the anthem. I can't remember what Josh sang, but it sounded beautiful.

Yeah, that whole man on the moon thing was kind of wierd. You know what else I thought was cheesey? During the halftime show when they had the balloons spell out their names "Justin", "Janet", ....
