IMAR on Carson

sevenblur - 2-25-2004 at 08:08 PM

Today, IMAR is going on Carson the 25 of February at 1am in the morning...after 24 of Feb Jay Leno, then Conan, then Carson. I dont know if I will be able to see it because i have to wake up early tomorrow, but i might just stay up to watch them. I want to know if people will see it and what they thought of the ever fabulous IMAR show....
Peace

Ohhh Yeah....Just part of the ImaRobot.Net "first with" policy.

poobs - 2-26-2004 at 08:20 AM

Holy crap! You guys were up late! Thanks, Phobs! I don't know how to download it though! I clicked on it and it played in my Windows Media thing, but it's not saved in my computer..How do I do that? When I left click, it doesn't have "save target as", which is what I usually do..

draconian - 2-26-2004 at 11:11 AM

Meanwhile, I have palpitations over seeing that a 12" of the album does, in fact, exist.

Great performance. The sound was so much better than Letterman, I wonder why that is...

colforbin6 - 2-26-2004 at 12:34 PM

I think the sound was better mainly because Justin was so much more in the mix. He is such an asset, the louder the better. I thought Alex's voice sounded strained at times. Granted they have been working hard and are getting used to touring for longer periods. Scott is technically sound and really starting to have his own presense. Oli is oli, essential. It was a good performance to say the least. One question, if Alive were played a bit faster would the song have sounded tighter? Sometimes that really helps.

-regards.

sevenblur - 2-26-2004 at 09:24 PM

Well, I did see it I stayed up really really late...and I HATE CARSON!!! But it was worth me staying to see them on the tele. That is actually the first time i have seem them on the tele and it was exciting...It did seem like Alex was tired or something, and I loved the songs they picked, but it doesnt show their real presense as the great artists that they are....12=3 would have showed their real potential, but that is just my thought. Overall, i was pleased and i loved IMAR more than ever!
Peace peeps

lomax - 2-27-2004 at 04:19 AM

um, this is just to watch, right? can't download? or can we..... help before i start 'save target as' ing......

Athena - 2-27-2004 at 05:30 AM

Yeah as Carson was standing next to Alex onstage I couldn't help imagining a little thought bubble next to Alex's head with the caption-- "Dildo." Of course that is only actually what I personally think of Carson Daly, but it made me laugh anyways.

The "swoop in over the audience" shot was giving me nausea. blea.

Poor Alex, I could tell his voice was really hurting. It sounded painful. That's probably one of the reasons that the guys picked slower songs... Ouch I hope he feels better soon!! :(

I loved it. I like that raw/live sound. So absolutely glad they played Scream. Damn they're bad! What's up with Alexs' shirt? "White people don't exist"?. I'm still trying to figure that out, but that's what I love about art, it makes you think.

lomax - 2-27-2004 at 01:03 PM

Poobs. I had the same prob. You just have to keep clicking till it comes up (oh er!) and then clikc 'save target as'.

It just depends what file it is.

Can someone please clear this up...If I 'Save Target As' will I beable to save it to my hardrive and watch it on standard Window Media?

poobs - 2-27-2004 at 02:40 PM

I don't see why you couldn't do that..My issue is that I don't even have a Save Target As when I left click on it..

I thought he sounded great..I thought they all sounded great! I think the audience is lame..No one was moving!

RoboticTerrorSTD - 2-27-2004 at 03:03 PM

me too! i felt like slapping those biatchs and telling them "dance god damn it!". :o:D

MichelleRene - 2-27-2004 at 03:09 PM

Yeah, that audience was soooo lame!

And I agree with Athena about the dildo thingy......:D

ART1SSS - 2-27-2004 at 04:00 PM

Yeah...I'm not the only one who thought the audience was pretty dull. At least at Jimmy Kimmel show there was more of a reaction. C'mon East Coast peeps represent!!!!

What's up with the whole interview with the guy wearin' a dog suit??? They could have just gotten rid of the whole skit all together and have IMAR perform more songs.

=MARV=

sevenblur - 2-27-2004 at 07:40 PM

There was this close up of this girl with like pink eye shadow and i think she wanted to move and dance, but she didnt do it because the other lame ass audience memebers werent doing it....The songs were somewhat slower so the usual flailing of the arms would be too much I would think...CARSON IS A DILDO!!!! But the other thing that annoyed me was that guy in the dog suite....that wasnt even funny...Carson is trying to be like Conan and NO ONE CAN BE LIKE CONAN!!!, and i dozed off during that and almost missed the IMAR performance....Anyhow...that is all i have to say...
Peace peeps

nurzetrev - 2-28-2004 at 01:31 AM

well you guys might not realise that "Alive" is the next U.s. radio single, which
is pushed to be played and vice versa...Idiot boy, I mean carson's set has a
sound stage so it sounds better...Letterman's is just a wide open room.
They've also been touring nonstop, so I'm surprised Alex has a voice at all...but scratchy is good...I thought they were great...those slow jams make people focus on the song and the band. Yeah, Scream was hot too.
...Man James Spader...he was pretty out there...he must take the same pills Anne Heche does...
