My Lame Oscar picks....

sevenblur - 2-29-2004 at 05:03 PM

I know that I will be wrong...but I just really hope that Bill Murray will win for Best Actor. I hope that Keisha Castle Hughes from whale Rider will win, but i know that Charlize will win (eck)! Best Director should be Sofia Coppola and Best Pic...just because I love the movie should be Lord of the Rings. Lets see what happens cause I am never right...what do you guys think?
Peace

poobs - 2-29-2004 at 05:43 PM

I want Johnny Depp to win, but Bill Murray was so great in Lost In Translation..Plus, Sean Penn is one of my favorite actors..Oi..I just hope Renee Zellwegger loses..I can't stand her..

TurtleEnterprises - 2-29-2004 at 06:51 PM

I Hope Rene Zellwegger wins.

draconian - 2-29-2004 at 07:35 PM

I'm rooting for Lost In Transl and Capturing The Friedmans.

Neuwave - 2-29-2004 at 08:01 PM

Big ups to the Copolla's you guys they have a connect with the Bot. Roman(director of Dynamite) is sitting in the audience supporting his sis(Sophia). Great show this year.

yeah, I've been making a list of movies I must see, and that is definitely one of them.

P.S. Scarlett Johannsen...will you marry me? :D :P

poobs - 2-29-2004 at 11:17 PM

Lord of the Rings took everything! I was bummed about Bill Murray and Lost In Translation, but she got best Screenplay, right? So she got something..That's good..I'm a bit bitter that "A Kiss At The End Of The Rainbow" didn't get it.. And I'm even more annoyed that Renee won..She's such a fake bimbo..How do people like her??:wow::saint:

msviscious - 3-1-2004 at 12:55 AM

i'm happy with the winners. they deserved it. especially sean penn... he's so great and mezmorizing. but pretty much i'm happy with the winners. it was the ones i had hoped for

MichelleRene - 3-1-2004 at 07:25 AM

Yeah, Renee Z. is kind of annoying...she's always grinding like she's got a coke problem or something. Mad TV and SNL have done great spoofs imitating her.....

I'm so happy for the Lord of the Rings cast! I didn't think they'd sweep the whole thing, but I love all three of those movies. Was Bill Murray crying because he didn't win or what? He looked a little upset that Sean Penn won......???

Hey everyone tonight is the night for the Best of the Worst on American Idol! My boyfriend Willy Hung will be on it, so you must watch. I thought it was suppose to be on last week, but it's tonight....

I can't wait to see Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka---ooooh yeah!

That's sounds like it should be interesting, but I'm kind of sick of all these movie remakes. The original movies are classics, and it kind of takes away from them, but oh well. I guess modern day Hollywood isn't as creative, and innovative as Hollywood of old, but I'm sure this will be a visual treat considering technology where it is. I take that back we do have some geniuses out there representing for our generation.

poobs - 3-1-2004 at 09:31 AM

I'm bummed Bill didn't get it..I do love sean Penn though..And you knew LOTR was going to take a lot of them..This is for all three, basically..Not just Return of the King..They are so deserving of every damn award they got..Except the music one, but whatever..

I think the original Willy Wonka is awesome..It's one of my favorite movies ever..Just the crazy little quotes he comes out with..I think my favorite is "the excitement (anticipation?) is killing me..I hope it lasts"..I think Gene Wilder is so brilliant in this movie..And awfully hot, too..Oh boy..But I heard that Tim Burton is going to focus more on Charlie, like the book did..I don't know..But I'll leave you with this..

Are the fires of Hell a-glowing?
Is the grizzly reaper mowing?
Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing
And they're certainly not showing
Any signs of slowing!

Ahh..Gene Wilder is fabulous..:D

MichelleRene - 3-1-2004 at 10:03 AM

Ahh, don't get me all excited. When I hear that little song I get all freaky and shit. I think of how much fun it would have been to be hanging out with Willy......eating WONKA BROWNIES, and OOOmpa Loooompa candy dots...hahahaha

The original Willy Wonka is one of my all time favorites too. I absolutely love it. Why, I don't know.:D

poobs - 3-1-2004 at 10:28 AM

I can't watch that movie without some kind of chocolate in front of me..I start craving sweets so bad when I watch it.. That's such a great fantasy for kids though..To be able to live in that factory?? Are you kidding me?? Another great line: "Charlie, don't forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he ever wanted....He lived happily ever after." Ahhhh!!! Makes me so happy! :D

MichelleRene - 3-1-2004 at 10:37 AM

and they ate brownies, danced and were happy!

hey, this song sounds funky too....I like this radio station that they're appearing on......wowo....I'm feeling groovy...I wanna dance....

I know what you mean Poobs. It's just something about certain movies that take you to somewhere you've never been before. You know what movies I've been craving lately? The Pippy Longstocking Series. Man, when Tom Hatten used to come on when I was a kid on the Family Film Festival on channel 5. I could hardly wait for those to come around.:)

You know what other movie I adored? Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! OMG! I love when the 2 kids are hiding in Benny Hills (the toy maker) cellar, and THE CANDY MAN comes looking for them....for some reason he was so ugly and scarey I was sexually turned on by him!!! I think it was the long black coat and top hat! Sorry...I know I'm weird....

Pippy just brings back memories for me..Do you remember those sat. morn. movies? I can't remember the channel, but there was one movie that was to be continued and I never saw the second half and I was so pissed! It was about these two teens who were home when a flood hit or something..So they were living in their wet house and at one point a mountain lion came in..I think it broke off there and I never saw how they made it out..:ticking::ticking:

Sorry..I'm just babbling..
