LOL

colforbin6 - 3-12-2004 at 01:39 PM
ok, here's the report. The show was fun. All acoustic. Oli had nothing but his hands to clap with, no keyboard. It was a really loose show,
lots of banter. I got called out, it was funny. In retaliation I kept saying Chip off the Block. Acoustic would have been huge, right? Alex told
me to get out of "here". Anyway, the Beat Goes On was unexpected, totally improved, they wanted to play another song. Crowd was sizable.
All in all, it was an excellent showing and tonight should rage.
Setlist (acoustic: Scott on an electro synth drum thing. oli by himself, etc. etc.)
Alive
Dynomite
Scream
Let's Talk Turkey
Black Jettas
Beat Goes On (eat your heart out Drac)
More to come...

"Party All The Time" wasn't that one Eddie Murphy song, was it?
poobs - 3-13-2004 at 02:23 AM
Yes! A cover!!!

Noisemonster - 3-13-2004 at 02:44 AM
:o ww-w-wwww-wwow! 4 'special' songs!! How cool!
draconian - 3-13-2004 at 06:33 AM
Added to setlist database.
seacaptain - 3-13-2004 at 08:34 AM
Haha, that's great!
We need a boot of "Party All The Time" ASAP!!
colforbin6 - 3-13-2004 at 09:43 AM
it's pretty funny. I thought it was an original and while it grooved hard, it definately felt off. Good to hear it was a cover, now i likey
more. I have to say, my biggest criticism has been Scotts sense of time and his tendency to slow down during songs (see Carson post). Well let me
tell you, this situation is quickly improving. Scott is really finding his place and is getting much more confortable. The beat goes on was great.

"Party All the Time"---by Eddie Murphy
Well, what tha.....:duh:
I wonder who's idea that was...that's hilarious! I wonder if they'll do that at the Chili Cook-Off in 2 weeks?
kieaira - 3-13-2004 at 10:55 AM
well i cant wait till tuesday thats when i see the love of my life ALEX omg!!!! anywho u can go to the post electric sea of rapid meat and bones and
downlaod the coolest catpower song
Phobiac - 3-13-2004 at 11:04 AM
colforbin; you lucky bastard. those sound like some awesome shows.
the acoustic stuff the did for the radio show in ohio was so cool, i can only imagine how it goes off in person.
how awesome that they can make a crowd just explode being electrified, but are just as inspiring with the power out.
Athena - 3-13-2004 at 11:08 AM
Thanks SO much Col, I bet is was great!! May the songs played and encore be a sign of things to come!!! YAY!
JackieWhite - 3-13-2004 at 04:52 PM
I went to the show last night too, and let me tell you, it fuckin melted skulls. I was in the front row in the very middle and got to hug Alex while
he sang, "We don't charge extra touching fees, so touch me please." He also rubbed my hand when he sang, "Love, a reaction to some
soft skin." He asked me about my neo-peace hand symbol again also. Quite awesome. The whole Party All the Time and Ages of Ruin as an encore... I
don't think they were 'cause I took a peek at the setlist on the ground of the stage and they were on there. I don't know though... I
also met all the members and took pictures with them after the show. One of the best nights of my life. I can't wait to see them again.
