setlist:

....
i was a bit dissappointed that scream and black jettas AND dirty life wasn't done.. but i saw that last time.. so it's ok. but they did party all the time!!!
here's my run down of the nite:
first off, i got there fairly early and i was just walking around... walking by the tour bus etc.. thought maybe i could get a glimpse.. and what do you know.. here comes the whole BAND in this van and i'm crossing the street.. so i point and i'm like IMA ROBOT.. and i started waving with my finger. and they all waved back..it was a funny moment.
so then waiting in line..blabla..i'm wearing my ima shirt so everyone's asking me what they're like.. which, when asked, i cant ever seem to come up with anything at all to say!! you can't really explain ima robot.
so we get in... the crowd SUCKS.. the security people were complete nazis and wouldn't allow cameras in whatsoever.. so alas i have no pictures to share.. but the crowd, it was SO funny to see their reaction to imar. at first it was a WTF thing.. and then people started getting into it.. and crowd surfing and moshing.. which i hate, but anyway.. the crowd definetely warmed up to them.. and almost all i heard talking about them said they were "awesome" or "really really REALLY good".. so that was a plus..
alex seemed really talkative, which i found unusual. he seemed like he really liked the crowd and the energy.. contrasting to the last imar show i saw which was like dead. i didnt like this show as much though because of the barrier. i hate barriers, it was like 5 feet from the stage. even though i was almost up against the barriers.. it still was sucky.
so after their set i immediately went to the merch table to see if i could get my shirt signed. by anyone. and oli came back and i was still buzzing from just seeing them so the only thing i could muster up to say was a "you guys RULE!!".. and then i immediately appologized for saying something so cliche. and he was kind of.. oh but we do rule right?.. heh so he signed my shirt and actually spelled my name right with little help from me. :) and then he left with this girl that had approached me earlier whilst in line saying my shirt was cool. she came back some time later and sought me out, saying she was a friend of oliver's, and if she gets a chance she'll let the band know that i'm looking for them. so i asked her how she knew oliver and she said from the last show they played, she met him and they exchanged phone numbers and they talk on the phone all the time, and "he's a great kisser".. at that point i thought.. hmm maybe she's a groupie? either way i thought it was funny. so me and a couple other people waited the whole nite for someone to come back to the merch table.. and no one did. so we left and decided to stand outside their tourbus and see what would happen.. and alex came out! and he talked to me for like 5 minutes. i told him about the shirt i tried to make him with a bunch of their lyrics on it, and my mom found it and took it because it had fuck on it.. and he laffed. and i thanked him for opening me up creatively as i've been kind of pigeonholed lately.. and that he thought was cool.. i asked him if there were any more possible dates after july and he didnt know. :( so he signed my shirt and took a picture with me.. and there were other things said, but that's the main vein of it. i have such a crush on you ebert. it's pathetic.
so i will have one picture of me and alex. i'll post it when it's developed for anyone who wants to see.
should i be treating this forum as if it's my diary?... hmmmm...
so is party all the time a permanent thing? i thought it was just a one time deal..

Thanks for the report! I'm glad they're doing Party All The Time--it's definitely a rave-up that shows off their power as a band. Hopefully, it becomes a regular part of their set.

wow...someones gettin' some action.....hmmmmm. Somehow I don't see Ollie as the passionate type...........but, who knows, I've been fooled before. sometimes the ones you expect least are really packing that extra punch! hahaha......I guess everyone needs a little somethin' somethin' sometimes.....:o

i also forgot to add that i heard some of soundcheck from outside, they had the doors open.. and they played sex symbols on parade.
i just got my picture developed and it came out great, it didn't scan so well.. but that's ok. i'll add it to this post in a few minutes.
what a crazy night! :)
i'm thinking about driving three hours to iowa on the 21st to see them again... but i'm not sure about the date, it's listed on the official website though...

lol.. yeah the groupie girl kind of suprised me... she was gorgeous though, and showing off way too much of herself.. she kind of reminded me of P**** H***** in the way she dressed.. but i ran into her later as i was leaving, and she said he was "being shady"... and that they were supposed to "party" that nite. so he was obviously blowing her off... i dunno though. she was an interesting addition to the night. and really a very nice girl actually. i forgot to add too that when she was talking to me she said that they were playing video games and would be back out later. they always play video games dont they?
hehehe..

hehe thanks! :D of the few pics i have seen of alex and fans this seems like one of the better ones.. except one i saw where he's standing with a girl and he's doing his eyeball stare thing, that one is great. it's somewhere in the gallery here..
of course then there is me and my obvious giggling schoolgirl thing. i'm sure he must have percieved me as exactly that. talking about my mom taking the shirt away because of the fuck on it... and my dad being there, although it seemed like he was just as excited as i was to meet him. but it was still odd, and made it look like i was probably like 14 or something. i'm 19. but i could easily pass for 14.
i just want to keep staring at that picture.
lol.. once again i'm off rambling as if this is my diary...
:saint:
