I went to interview for an "Assistant Editor" internship today at a production company in Sherman Oaks. The guy running the company was
really nice and it looks like I've got the job. We talked for about an hour about film, travel, computers, etc. etc.
I came home and looked him up on the IMDB to see what kind of stuff his company has put out. More interesting than his directing credits were his
acting credits... turns out he was the kid who played Kevin the older brother on Mr. Belvedere.
This town is so weird.

Isn't that the guy that everyone kept saying was Marilyn Manson?
poobs - 5-14-2004 at 08:42 PM
Yes!!

Yeah, he's definitely not Marilyn Manson, I can confirm.

I once was interviewed by two producers who had roles on Head Of The Class--also in the Valley. Kind of weird. And then once I sat in on a sitcom
taping directed by the guy who played the snooty waiter in Ferris Bueller's Day Off...I guess whatever you want to do in the biz, you might as
well also act because everyone else is!

...that totally makes me think of being an extra on the show 'Miss Match'...a sitcom I never saw, starring Alicia Silverstone...well I end
up getting placed in a line at a coffee bar next to her and her companion...the part that killed me though was realizing that the director was Timothy
Busfield aka 'Poindexter' (Revenge of the Nerds)

...several times he stood a few feet away doing his thing and all I can think of is
seeing him rocking the electric violin at the talent show...:wow:

Poindexter..Nice..:duh:

Drac, which characters on Head of the Class? I used to watch that show religiously..
RiffRaff - 5-15-2004 at 09:12 AM
Eric and Dennis?
Seb - 5-15-2004 at 09:22 AM
Wow, LA sounds exciting, I want to go there someday.
draconian - 5-15-2004 at 11:00 AM
Eric and Dennis sounds familiar. Tollin/Robbins productions. I think they do Smallville.
nurzetrev - 5-16-2004 at 11:47 PM
hmmm' Howard Hessman anyone?...and something about iguanas comes to mind...SNL episode from the 80's with Eddie Murphy...funny funny
stuff...
LA's alright...if you like fake saxophones, keyboards and flambouyant cell phonies crawling all over each other for a piece of the pie...
...seeing IMA Robot @ viper room...top five reasons to be in LA
RiffRaff - 5-17-2004 at 12:14 AM
Yeah, the viper room bot shows were pretty dope.
