i'm dissapointed that ima robot is not on this list of rock's 25 underdogs. they've got the von bondies.. they've got hot hot heat.. but alas, no ima robot.
but once again, refering to the whole "list" thing... lists are always gonna piss people off.
stupid spin magazine. they've only done one cool article on imar.
i think a kazillion of us (or maybe just a few of us, but a kazillion times) ought to write spin and tell them they forgot our bots.. maybe it'll catch a blurb in the feedback section..

Haha, Hot Hot Heat was on it, I am sorry if this offends anyone but they suck so much ass. I remember when they started they would always play here(they are from Vancouver Island, a ferry ride away from Vancouver) and all the "indie" kids thought they were the best thing since sliced bread.

I heard a Hot Hot Heat song, and it didn't sound too far away from Ima robot. Of course, this was only one song.

I love SPIN and when I saw the list I was really expecting the band to be on it. There were a ton of franz ferdinand mentions in that issue though.

I went/was going to go see them @ HOB anaheim. I found out that a band called "Ima Robot" was playing (hmmmm.......same band I was supposed to go see with a friend @ Amoeba) so I said "cool. let me check them out, went to .com heard the songs and within' the same week that I got my tickets I wasn't really going to see Hot Hot Heat but for IMA ROBOT. Personally I think they were WAY better in every way.
Oh yeah......uhh but anyways I still like Hot Hot Heat

i do love hot hot heat. but not nearly as much as ima. in some interview i saw with alex.. he lists HHH as one of imaR's "musical peers"...

Well i got love for HHH cause they introduced me to the bot, but they sorta like faded away. And like Randon said there songs are nothing special they all sound alike... :D

I still like HHH, but I agree with the not so goodness of them....

In school I'd always be cracking up loud in class and making jokes with friends and when it came time for me to do my work or be serious I'd get alot of, "what's wrong" or "are you ok?" CONSTANTLY! it drove me mad!

oh cool stuff, ill have to check it out. i used philosiphofee as my skate song in a video i made for a film festival not too long ago.

and andrew reynolds used Song #1 in the S.O.T.Y. video. he promotes IMAR a lot, in magazines and stuff.
