Just curious if anyone has seen the new Harry Potter flick? I heard Gary Oldman is in it.....I loved Gary Oldman in Sid &
Nancy........hmmmm.....please leave any comments about the movie.....:saint:poobs - 6-14-2004 at 12:15 PM
I SAW IT!!! I'm a big goober and lobve Harry Potter, so I really dug it..Gary Oldman isn't in it that much, but he's really good..The
movie is much darker than the others, which matched the book perfectly..They do much more exterior stuff and the setting is beautiful..The first time
I saw it, I think I was expecting it to be EXACTLY like the book, which it wasn't..But I went to see it again with Brody and knew what to expect
and I totally dug it more..:D I'm bummed this director isn't doing the next one..He captured the darkness of this one so well and the next
one is even darker..Yay!!! :D:D:DEvilMotivator - 6-14-2004 at 12:58 PM
I'm gonna go ahead and agree with poobs. One thing that I didn't really like was the new guy for Dumbledore. I guess it's the best one
they could have picked, I just liked the old one more. But over all, go Harry Potter.MichelleRene - 6-14-2004 at 03:20 PM
awww.....cute picture. And I can't wait to see Harry Potter......maybe this weekend or something.......Did anyone see the spoof on Saturday Night
Live this past Saturday of Harry Potter?
Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry......Harry Potthead!:ticking:poobs - 6-14-2004 at 04:01 PM
Yeah..It was a good one..I pissed myself at the Debbie Downer sketch again..
I agree about Dumbledore..The guy wasn't as warm and charming as the original, but he was also a bit more funny..The hippogriffs were fucking
sweet!!! happysmilely - 6-14-2004 at 08:55 PM
haha, I don't go to the movies much, I tend to rent them latter.... I have yet to see it but I will, later
I know harry potthead, he lives on the corner of my street :D MichelleRene - 6-15-2004 at 07:35 AM
awww...you live by the boy who played Harry Potter? Wow...I bet he gets lotsa booty because of the films....
Isn't the guy who plays Dumbledore the same guy who played Gandalf in The Lord of the Rings? Richard Harris played the original Dumbledore,
didn't he? He passed away.....I can't wait to see Harry!poobs - 6-15-2004 at 07:41 AM
No..The guy who played Gandalf is Sir Ian McKellan (not sure if it's spelled right)..He's gay!!! :wow:
I find myself thinking of how cute Ron and Harry are becoming..Does that make me a perv, since they're only about 15? MichelleRene - 6-15-2004 at 07:58 AM
........hahaha. No, they are both really cute. I was watching something the other day and thought the same thing...damn, when he's a little
older he's going to be beautiful.....I can't remember what it was though...
Are you sure that's not Ian McLellan playing him? I thought I saw something on TV about that...maybe not...maybe I had a buzz or
something....yeah, and Gandolfs gay...that was kinda a shocker...poobs - 6-15-2004 at 08:08 AM
Yeah..It's Michael Gambon..Again, not sure if it's spelled right..He doesn't have the twinkle in his eyes like Richard Harris did..
The kid that plays Ron is like a little alt-rocker..His hair is a little long and he wears like vintage jeans and shirts and stuff..I saw him on some
special..So cute..:duh:MichelleRene - 6-15-2004 at 09:09 AM
feeling hot, hot, hot.........
I bet the 3 of them got it on shooting the film....:duh:Evangeline - 6-15-2004 at 12:26 PM
The one who plays Rom is very cute. Amd Harry learned the bass and is listening to pink floyd and good shit like that. THey are turning out to be
very interesting indeed.poobs - 6-15-2004 at 03:56 PM
Yeah..Harry likes The Libertines, which put him on good terms with me..
Brody thinks Hermoine is cute..But not cuter than Marilyn, this chick from school..Oi..And so it begins..avw86 - 6-15-2004 at 05:56 PM
I loved it! It was my favorite book, and I think this was my favorite out of all the movies.
"Harry's Hot-ter!"
And he like The Libertines, The Strokes, etc. etc. etc.
But I can't hit that anymore since I just turned 18 poobs - 6-15-2004 at 07:39 PM
Dude..I feel like a perv cuz I'm 25!!! Oh well..I don't think the situation will ever come up so I think I'm safe..
I don't know what my favorite book was..I really dug Goblet of Fire..The Order of the Phoenix was just so frustrating for me to read..People were
so stupid!! Ok..I should stop..I might stop looking "cool" to you
guys..:duh:seacaptain - 6-15-2004 at 08:45 PM
Ian McKellan was rumored to be getting the Dumbledore part after the first guy died, but he didn't.
The fourth book is the best!! I can't wait to see that. I also can't believe they cut Cho out of the third movie. Ah well, she's apparently going to be in the fourth, for sure. OK, I'm
sounding like a bigger goober than Poobs... poobs - 6-15-2004 at 09:59 PM
Dude..I was surprised they didn't introduce Cedric Diggory! He plays a pretty big part in the next one!! Ah well..
I totally dug the Quiddich scenes..With that black dog in the clouds? That was sweet looking..happysmilely - 6-15-2004 at 11:11 PM
to make all clear, I live by a haryy potthead,
not the kid who plays potter :D
please now, go onavw86 - 6-16-2004 at 07:35 AM

Hey, Harry Potter's cool in my book!
The only thing I didn't like about this movie was that Oliver Woods wasn't in it Talk about hot! And with a Scottish accent to boot! poobs - 6-16-2004 at 12:30 PM
Oh Amanda!! I was thinking the SAME thing!! Oliver Wood was a cutie pie..:Davw86 - 6-16-2004 at 03:41 PM
This is really embarassing, but I actually sent fan mail to Sean Biggerstaff once! He never replied, though
Oh well, c'est la vie!EvilMotivator - 6-16-2004 at 03:52 PM
Yeah, that guy was definitely cute. Too bad he wasn't in it. I can't wait to see the fourth one, I loved the book. I heard they were making
two movies out of it, but maybe there was just too much crack involved that day.poobs - 6-16-2004 at 04:23 PM

Yeah..I heard they were going to do two movies also..There's just so much to the book, I don't see how they could do a 2 hour movie out of
it..I hope they just say screw it and do a 4 hour movie or something..I don't want to have to wait to see the rest of it!!seacaptain - 6-16-2004 at 04:47 PM
They've scrapped the two movie plan. I read that they briefly considered it, but the screenwriter said they couldn't figure out a good way
to cut it.
Which is weird, because if I remember the book right, the first half is the Quidditch World Cup and the second half is that Tri-Wizard Competition
dealie. Seems like a natural cutting point to me.poobs - 6-16-2004 at 04:58 PM
No..They didn't do the Quiddich Cup cuz of the Tri-Wizard Competition in that book..:Dseacaptain - 6-16-2004 at 05:05 PM
Oh I'm mixing up names then. What was the big Quidditch event thing that everyone attended?EvilMotivator - 6-16-2004 at 08:16 PM
Aw shit, #1 Harry Potter fan right there...avw86 - 6-16-2004 at 08:53 PM

It was the World Quidditch Cup or something like that.poobs - 6-16-2004 at 10:48 PM
Oooooooohhhh yeah!!! I thought you meant the Quiddich Cup at Hogwart's..:duh:
