Well, I am back from Mexico (flight came in 1 AM this morning). I had a GREAT time. I stayed in a small town (about 2000 people) ~ 45 minutes North
of Puerto Vallarta. The flight down was pretty good (I had 15 mins of sleep the night before); Ian Molt was on the plane down to LA. On the way back
there was a delay in LA with was a pain in the as but got to fly over LA at night when I was all lit up (that city is huge). My parents rented a
house in Sayulita which I thought was much better than staying at a hotel because it was a lot cheaper and I didn’t see only hotels and touristy kind
of things, I got to see the real Mexico from all its beauty to all its poverty. When you go from the airport to Sayulita its pretty wild, you go from
a huge 4-lane highway then it just stops and you drive along this small 2-lane road that winds through the jungle.
The people were so nice and friendly and no one bugged you, unlike in PV where every second person try’s to sell you something. The beach in Sayulita
was amazing, crystal clear water, great surf, and not busy. At its busiest there were about 50-60 people there. I rented a surfboard and went
surfing a couple times and all I have got to say is WOW, so much fun, I am going to buy one because I had an amazing time. All in all it was a great
trip and I will go back.
This is the road to Sayulita. On the way tehre from the Airport some people got into an accident as we drove past and when coming back from PV ths
bus we were on was almost hit by a pick up coming from the other direction.
This is the house we stayed in. It was 3 min walk from the house to the beach
At least 10 of these little guys lived in the house, which was great because they ate all the bugs.
Every morning this 3 foot long iguana would crawl out from under the roof and bask in the sun(I have better pics that I took with my SLR)
These little iguanas were all over the place, this one almost walked into the house, they arent too scared of people.

These political paintings were all over the walls in town
These trucks would drive around town and sell things. There would be one truck for water, one for fish, one for fruit, etc...
Heres a pictures of one of the streets in town(I am the one in the neon green shorts)
^this is the road that takes you to the house we stayed in and the one below went past the house, cars would barely make it up.

Here are some pictures from one of the times we went to Puerto Vallarta. I did not like Nuevo Vallarta and where all the hotels were, it was ugly,
but I did enjoy the old part of PV.
The beach in PV was packed, I would have gone nuts if I had to go to one. In Sayulita you could either go to the beach in the bay where there would
be people(not many though) or walk for about 20 min and find secluted beaches
And now some pics of the beach and from the house .
This is at sunrise
This is when the sun was going down
During the day
This is at night. The light in the sky is lightning. A couple times there were really big storms(Vancouvers are nothing compared to the ones there)
I still have 7 or 8 rolls of film that are being developed(no slides )happysmilely - 7-21-2004 at 03:08 PM
