Oohhh..You don't want to ask me for advice..I'm single and have been for a while..I must be doing something wrong.. But, I'll throw my opinion out there anyways.. :D I feel like 21 is just soooo young!! Why make such a HUGE commitment at such a young age? You're not done growing mentally yet..I'm such a different person now that I'm 25 than I was when I was 21..People make the argument that they know they want to spend the rest of their lives with this one person so they should get married..I say why the rush? If you know this is "the one", then why not just live together for a few more years? That way, if you find out that you're not as compatible as you originally thought, you won't have to go through a messy divorce! Marriage will always be there..You might as well live your life to it's fullest as an individual, and not as a married couple..

Also, like in the case with my brother and his woman, she wasn't very experienced before she met him..He was her first "real" boyfriend..They've been together (like connected at the hip in a really annoying way) for about 4 or 5 years..They started dating when she was 19..She's been in this hard core relationship during the years that you make so many self-discoveries..Plus, she's only slept with my brother! It just freaks me out to think that she'll never see another man's penis..She'll never know if my brother is good or bad in bed cuz she has no comparisons! Ugh..I have a feeling she's going to begin to resent him later in life and they'll end up getting a divorce..Or it'll just be a loveless marriage..Either way..

Wow..I don't mean to come off so negative..I think marriage is awesome..I'm all for it..In fact, my best friend is getting married in about a month! They waited a while for the exact reasons I listed above..It's definitely time they make the commitment and I'm so stoked..I KNOW they'll last forever.. :D

the story with your brother reminds me of something. ha, we´ve been together for 4 years now as well! but he´s not my first boyfriend alas i´m his first girlfriend. i often thought on how unlikely it is that he´s to be satisfied by me only, that i suffice. but i´d not want to have a loose relationship or even marriage. a former boyfriend of mine had a loose relationship with his girlfriend, they were sleeping with other people and somehow it was so so sick i think. anyways.
if i´d get engaged now, that wouldn´t mean we´d marry this year or next year. not neccessarily. gee, tough decision this is. it can be so easy to distract me from my boy, sometimes way too easy.
