Velvet Underground
the Doors
Syd Barret

Iggy Pop (the Stooges)
Pixies...

some newer stuff:

Oh god... who does "Tainted Love"? Add that one.

seacaptain - 8-19-2004 at 05:39 PM

Led Zeppelin "Black Dog" or "Rock and Roll" or "Over the Hills and Far Away" or... lots to choose from, depends on what style you want
Jethro Tull "Locomotive Breath"
Lynyrd Skynyrd "Freebird" I guess (Skynyrd sucks)
Allman Brothers "Ramblin' Man"
Johnny Cash "Rusty Cage"!! yea!
Jerry Lee Lewis "Great Balls Of Fire"
Chuck Berry too many to choose from! I'd say "Memphis Tennessee" is my favorite
The Who "The Seeker" definitely, or "I Can see For Miles"
Aerosmith "Sweet Emotion"
Rolling Stones (why are you picking disco-era Stones?) "Brown Sugar" or "Sympathy for the Devil" or "Tumbling Dice"

newer rock songs:
Metallica "One"
Megadeth "Symphony of Destruction"
probably could use some Nirvana
Pearl Jam "Even Flow"
Smashing Pumpkins "Cherub Rock"
Beck "Spanking Room"
Guns N Roses - ask Drac

ok i'm done reliving my high school years now... :)

Evangeline - 8-22-2004 at 02:08 PM

I believe Radiohead got the name Paraniod Android from Douglas Adams, author of the "Hitchhikers Trilogy" (Marvin the robot was always depresses and pessimistic, so he was called the paranoid android.).

:yes::yes: yes, there is something very sexxy about Hot German men singing in German.......mmm'hmmm'

Oh...I thought of a few songs:

Love is like oxygen--------The Sweet
Crazy on You---------------Heart
No Quarter-----------------Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath-------------Black Sabbath

seacaptain - 8-23-2004 at 11:06 AM

No Quarter is my favorite Zep song, so spooky and cool. What an amazing song.

MichelleRene - 8-24-2004 at 09:55 AM

 yeah No Quarter is the shiznit! One of the coolest moodiest songs ever!

nurzetrev - 8-25-2004 at 08:26 PM

lest we forget "when the levee breaks"...biggest drums maybe ever!
I'm suprised I saw only one Alice Cooper add-on...and that was
a rarity (poison)...man, school's out and 'Billion Dollar Babies' are
f'n awesome classic rock. Cool Trivia: did anyone know or care
that Donovan is the doubling, 2nd lead vocal on Billion Dollar Babies?
I mean Donovan unto himself is a classic (sunshine suprerman, mellow yellow),
but 'babies' is just hot shit on a stick!

elbrandino - 8-26-2004 at 05:23 AM

queen - killer queen

Evangeline - 8-26-2004 at 09:26 AM

I thought of a couple more and I know you guys will probably agree because they were in some memorable movies:

"Born to be Alive"-- Patrick Hernandez ... (from the movie Vegas Vacation)

"Free Ride"--- BTO...( Dazed and Confused)

does anyone else get excited when they hear these songs?

And Robotic...I know...I love "Love is like Oxygen" by The Sweet....how incredible is that song? WoW!

bananaboat - 8-28-2004 at 01:19 PM

My favourite Led Zep song would be "Over the Hills and Far Away"
