So I was doing some back-to-school shopping at Old Navy last week. I was trying clothes on in the fitting room, when all of a sudden, I *faintly*
heard the opening of "Let's Talk Turkey." I thought that maybe I was just thinking of the song in my head, or that I was hallucinating,
but when I got out of the fitting room, it WAS "Let's Talk Turkey"! I was singing along. It was odd. Has anyone else heard the Bot in
Old Navy or other stores?IMAWreck - 8-24-2004 at 02:30 PM
I got a call from my friend last weekend- Ima was on at the Old Navy - yep yep-TurtleEnterprises - 8-24-2004 at 04:09 PM
My sister works at Anchor Blue and used to hear Black Jettas all the time, when she heard me playing it at home she was singing "ex girlfriends,
black chedda ! " as in cheese :wow:. Until I corrected her. It was funny! There sound track changes every two weeks.happysmilely - 8-24-2004 at 04:13 PM
I've been in a few (I think 2 or 3 stroes) that had played Ima Robot...
one was old navy, I forget the other ones because I don't know store names very well
not counting the time I went to a record store to see IMA (alex was sick) and they played the cd in full like 20 times.
P.s. I think Ima should change the song to black cheddas
haha Yep Yep :DMichelleRene - 8-24-2004 at 04:20 PM
The commercials that run for "The Dive" on FUSE has a brief segment of the "Dynomite" video.....it's like Subteranean
And has everyone seen that cute little commercial with the robot cell phone?happysmilely - 8-24-2004 at 04:33 PM

too. the things they play in the stores these days... wow:wow:Seb - 8-25-2004 at 03:16 PM
I have never heard Ima Robot anywhere unless I put it on. My only run in concerning the bots was when this really hot girl wearing a Ima Robot
tshirt came onto the train on my way to work.seacaptain - 8-25-2004 at 06:06 PM

Maybe she's on this board! That would be funny.....
and yeah, Hot Topic is a bit overrated and over priced.......There t-shirts always fall apart and fade like a mother...and....the decals are usually
off-centered...like seconds or something. I think it's for unimaginative kids who can't do things for themselves. Have you noticed they are
selling alot of cut-the-sleeves-off t-shirts for like $25! Shit, go on Ebay, buy one for $10 and do it yourself. Then someone else won't be
wearing the same thing the next time you go out. Mass produced crap!poobs - 8-27-2004 at 08:01 AM
You know what bugs me? When these lame hipster kids wear old-school Journey shirts..They don't like Journey! They just think they're being
cool! I'm using Journey as an example cuz some kid I used to work with came in with a Journey shirt on..I asked if he'd seen them in concert
or anything and he said no and that he didn't even like them..There are many other band tees that those damn kids wear just to be cool, but
Journey was the first that came to mind..:duh:TurtleEnterprises - 8-27-2004 at 08:20 AM
oh oh i guess im one of those kids, sometimes bands have cool shirts. I own a Thursday shirt and never even heard the band. But I only sleep in it :Dpoobs - 8-27-2004 at 08:25 AM
Nah..I'm talking like Def Leppard (I have a feeling I'm spelling that really wrong) and like old Poison shirts..You know? LIke they're
only wearing them cuz it's cool to like a crappy old band..:ticking:
You'll always be cool in my eyes, Turtle..:duh:TurtleEnterprises - 8-27-2004 at 09:24 AM

I don't recall any time I heard IMA Robot in a department store or anywhere for that matter besides live, on my computer, and in my stereo. But
then again, I really rarely go shopping. On channel one news the other day they played about 3 seconds of a Stellastarr* song. I forgot which one,
because I have a terrible memory, but it was pretty cool.JunoRedneck - 8-28-2004 at 12:44 PM
Ya, I've never heard it played in any stores. The only other place I've heard it, besides when I play it, is on the radio a couple times.
But, most of those times were because Evil requested it. Oh, and I found out that my brother's good friend/ my neighbor is obsessed with Ima.
Apparently, he was at Warped at the same time I was. He was probably right next to me and I didn't even see him. Oh well.elbrandino - 8-29-2004 at 09:48 PM
i cant wait for them to come to vancouver again! weeeeee! which will be in a few years probablySeb - 8-30-2004 at 03:00 PM

I missed them 3 times. Once when they were here playing with the White Stripes(added at the last minute and I cant stand the WS so I didnt pay
attention to who opened for them), when they played R&R(I wasnt 19 yet, about 6 months too early) and when they played Warped(I was in Mexico)WarholDisciple - 8-30-2004 at 07:25 PM
I can't wait for them to come back to Dallas... or anywhere around here!elbrandino - 8-30-2004 at 10:18 PM

**news** Sex symbols on Parade is now being played on the new sound track in Anchor Blue stores via my lil sista :D:DBinkie - 12-23-2004 at 07:07 PM
i've heard black jettas in american eagle. i was standing @ a thing outside it in the mall and heard a beat that sounded familiar and i ran
inside and it was black jettas.MichelleRene - 12-23-2004 at 07:11 PM
:o:o:wow: that's great!
Back to the Old Navy deal...I hate their commercials! I wish they'd shove their $10 gifts and under up their asses! minimandy14 - 12-23-2004 at 10:04 PM
i hate there commercials but i love the stuff they sell. . . . . .notasecretnow - 12-31-2004 at 12:05 PM
I've heard Dynomite on MTV before while skimming through (just the "Here's a story for the kids!" part), and I swear I've
heart "The Beat Goes On" somewhere. But besides that, no where else but my headphones plays them.
There were these kids I know at my church talking about Ima Robot a while back. I heard "A is for Action" mentioned and nearly had a heart
attack I was so surprised. People around here don't listen to much besides 50 cent and Chingy or whatever.minimandy14 - 12-31-2004 at 08:04 PM
heh i hate rap so much, but there are a surprisingly bunch of "gothics and punks" here in washington.notasecretnow - 1-1-2005 at 09:30 AM
We have a large population of "gangstas" (i.e. rich kids pretending to be poor kids but spending $300 on a pair of shoes and using words
like "bling". But, yeah.minimandy14 - 1-1-2005 at 06:22 PM
heh, we have a large population of asians (not saying thats bad) and they all hang around in big groups and all have loads of money and then complain
about having last season's clothes or something, and then the rest of them that are white either act like there asian or are skater punks (that
listen to rap mind you) or the "real punks" or the gothics. . . . . .. . damn i hate this town, but we have some awesome local concerts and
some pretty good bands :Dcorkey16 - 2-25-2005 at 09:30 AM
They play Ima Robot songs all the time in American Eagle. Mostly Alive, Black Jettas, and Let talk Turkey
