I'll probably end up watching it, even though it's always lame..Congrats on getting in the pit though! You should wear a sweatband or something so that when you put your hands in the air and start waving them like you just don't care, we'll be able to notice you! :D

happysmilely - 8-29-2004 at 08:28 AM

I will if I can... And I'll look for ya Alex

I 2 have been super busy with college/work/boy/freinds/concerts ...
going to get EVEN MORE busy next week

WarholDisciple - 8-29-2004 at 09:25 AM

Yeah, I'm sure I'll watch some of it. I'll be sure to look for you.

seacaptain - 8-29-2004 at 04:53 PM

I thought Dave Chappelle was hosting? I've been watching for 45 minutes and haven't seen him once, so I guess he isn't?

poobs - 8-29-2004 at 04:57 PM

Who's hosting then?

seacaptain - 8-29-2004 at 05:14 PM

There doesn't seem to be a host. Just a whole bunch of presenters and introducers.

poobs - 8-29-2004 at 05:41 PM

RiffRaff - 8-30-2004 at 02:21 AM

I remember when MTV wasn't a blaxploitation channel.

MichelleRene - 8-30-2004 at 07:27 AM

WarholDisciple - 8-30-2004 at 07:31 PM

bananaboat - 8-31-2004 at 08:24 AM

Yea, that's harsh being booed, too bad a I missed it. I was sort of watching it and I changed the channel when it got all political.
I didn't do well in Socials Studies, hahaha

Seb - 8-31-2004 at 12:05 PM

I watched it for 5 minutes then remembered I hate MTV

theipodgod16 - 8-31-2004 at 08:33 PM

i tried my best to fit into mainstream pop culture and watch the awards, but i find it too painful to watch outkast's two-word chorus song be practically be observed as though it did something great for the music business....ulgh. Mtv. the day mtv plays bands that i'm into is the day i'll no longer be into those bands. What about nominating fabulous, talented, accomplished musicians, like Interpol, Beck, the descendents, or the hives? overproduced acts like H********* and linkin park make me vomit.

BTW, what exactly did the kerry daughters get booed for? Being the daughters of the only man who can pull us out of the bush mess?

EvilMotivator - 8-31-2004 at 09:23 PM

oh my. it's sounds like some one isn't in the best mood.

theipodgod16 - 8-31-2004 at 10:06 PM

i find it bothersome that people are judged by association and/or political affiliation. Just because you dont support Bill Clinton doesnt mean you have to insult his daughter (Rush Limbaugh, 1993). Same goes for now.

EvilMotivator - 8-31-2004 at 10:34 PM

i agree with what you said, it just seemed like you were in a bad mood.

poobs - 9-1-2004 at 06:30 AM

Right..so are you sticking up for the Bush twins as well? I don't think they deserve to be called bimbos, do you?

I thought it was a nice change though..MTV is so damn liberal..It was nice to see a little negativity of the Dems come through..It sucks that they had to be so rude about it, but what do you expect from a crowd that gave the MTV2 award to fucking Yellowcard??

Seb - 9-1-2004 at 08:37 AM

I think the problem is that Bush hating hes become a trend. People see others do it on MTV, Warped Tour, etc... and they just do it. Stupid kids not being able to form their own opinions. I can't stand pop culture in America and think it has ruined everything from music to policits, etc...

ps
I am also not a Kerry supporter, hes just the lesser of two evils.

pps
The Bush bombos thing was a joke.

I don't agree, but that's ok.. :D

bananaboat - 9-1-2004 at 09:28 AM

Yea, H****stank were very bad live, like the singer's voice was cracking like a guy in his preteens.
But I agree with theipodgod

bananaboat - 9-1-2004 at 09:33 AM

Hey, I hate to admit this, but...you know which twins I think are pretty cool, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. I guess I'm one of THOSE people.

7cut - 9-1-2004 at 09:57 AM

i donīt get it why so many Americans are into bands like H****stank, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Yellowcard etc. no wonder that the IMA Robots are outsiders then ... :D i canīt get why MTV Germany wonīt play "Dynomite" ...iīm sure theyīd like it .... it was so weird to see Marilyn Manson next to Mandy Moore and he was a bit too sugary to her. and why did Usher win ? whatīs so damn good and special abut the "Yeah" video or song? iīm having nightmares from this crap...itīs like a rave / rnb united hymn...
zillions of juveniles use it as their ringtone here...a bit too much of hiphop / rnb at the ceremony this year....

some sort of Village People revival ???

Evangeline - 9-1-2004 at 10:02 AM

I'm my own favorite twin. But I guess that doesn't count.

Evangeline - 9-2-2004 at 12:52 PM

I saw you, Randon. Well, atleast the back of your head. You had the awesome hair, and los angeles on the back of you shirt, non? Right next to Will Smith.

Evangeline - 9-2-2004 at 01:04 PM

It seems that Bush hating really has become a trend. Whenever I try to have an educated conversation with someone about politics and ask why they don't like Bush, many of them don't seem to be able to explain why. It's so sad that the media has that sort of impact on people. People just follow the trend and have no idea what the fuck is going on and how it really impacts them. That stuff really pisses me off....as you can see. I don't mind the media having their opinions on things and I don't care if a station is liberal or not and makes it known to the public. What angers me is that the general public doesn't seem to have a damn mind of its own. You have a brain, an opinion, and a voice - USE IT!

TheRandonOne - 9-3-2004 at 08:14 AM

hey ya'll. vma's were actually pretty fun, i was so fake and obnoxious. i mean, even though im not really a fan of mtv, you cant really turn an oppurtunity like that down. once in a lifetime type of deal i guess.
its not like i hated being there, i had a GREAT time. i totally met karen-O and did her right on the dance floor...oh my god, so hott.
...not really. but when i did get her attention at first i was like "karen.....i adore you"(all mtv ish while looking all cool) and hilary duff looked at me and was like "awww" and i turned to her and said "eh, ur not too bad either"...then she laughed all giggly. then i noticed her sister was the chick from napoleon dynamite and as i walked away i was all "vote for summer" and yet again got more laughs.....im so awsome. haha. and lil jons a pimp. late
