RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-13-2004 at 09:25 AM

It's Willy Wonka!
I love the original, one of my favorites. I've been on everyone's nerves "Did you hear they're re-making it?" "Willy Wonka is going to be played by Johnny Depp" blah blah blah.
I finally got to see the damn teaser trailer when I went to see Ocean's Twelve.
July 2005 .....I can't friggin wait!!!

Jette - 12-13-2004 at 10:36 AM

what time is it in america right now?

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-13-2004 at 10:45 AM

U.S. California- 10: 45 am

seacaptain - 12-13-2004 at 11:05 AM

I read that book at least 50 times as a kid. I've always wanted a movie made that was faithful to it, and was more about Charlie than Willy Wonka, and wasn't a musical. Hopefully they'll do it right, but I like Burton, so I bet he did.

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-13-2004 at 11:09 AM

I heart Tim Burton, the setting in his movies always look amazing, everything looks so....so.... Tim Burton-ish:P

poobs - 12-13-2004 at 03:18 PM

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp..There's nothing better..:) Marilyn Manson would have been cool to see as Willy, but I'm glad Johnny's doing it instead..

minimandy14 - 12-13-2004 at 03:26 PM

Tim Burton is my idol :D heh i said idol. . . . he is the reason why i want to become a director :D

JunoRedneck - 12-13-2004 at 03:36 PM

I can't believe this movie is finally coming out. I heard about it sooo long ago. Ok, I guess it's not until July of 2005. But, I'm still excited. I hope it's good. I love the first one... minus the Cheer Up Charlie song. Plus, Tim Burton is my third favey director. I like all his movies, except for one. Anyone care to take a guess which Burton movie I thought blew?

seacaptain - 12-13-2004 at 04:07 PM

Planet of the Apes is the safe bet

JunoRedneck - 12-13-2004 at 04:12 PM

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-14-2004 at 03:14 PM

 amen to that! It seems like he's funny man 24-7

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-14-2004 at 03:21 PM

An SNL skit about "dissing your dog", anybody else seen this it was so hilarious!
" Dale Sturtevant: Oh no, no, no, Humphrey, don't get up. You just stay there, relax. After all, you did put in a long day of work at a demanding high-stress job. Oh no, wait a minute, that's me! Now I remember! I'm the one with the job. You're the one who lies around the house all day in a pool of your own slobber! "

I got this shirt that says " I got a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL" from that skit with Christopher Walken, Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, etc. That's another bad ass skit.

Holy crap, I want it.

seacaptain - 12-14-2004 at 07:16 PM

Yea I have a feeling they'll keep the Oompa Loompas a secret until the film comes out... just imagine what Burton will design for them to look like!

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-14-2004 at 07:38 PM

if you're going to get one i recommend you get it from hot topic and get the aqua green one that i have.....cause white & black shirts with that "quote" don't reach their full potential.:D

RoboticTerrorSTD - 12-14-2004 at 07:39 PM

one of the oompa loompas is played by the guy that comes out in "big fish", Mr.Soggy-Bottom

EvilMotivator - 12-14-2004 at 07:44 PM

I try to stay as far away from Hot Topic as possible. I don't have any money for one either. Shucks.

EvilMotivator - 12-14-2004 at 08:33 PM

lurker - 12-14-2004 at 09:22 PM

There's some clothes in there that really piss me off because they're so fucking easy to make, or a plain hooded jacket with a patch
But meh, if I find a shirt like "More Cowbell" I just have to given in and get it....perfect color, perfect quote, perfect price.

MichelleRene - 12-15-2004 at 05:13 AM

I know what you mean. Their t-shirts are so thin you can see through them! I'd be afraid to wash it for fear of it not making it through the wash cycle. And they are so over priced. Not to mention the nerds working there......I do like alot of the designs on their t-shirts......

7cut - 12-15-2004 at 05:38 AM

oh shite i got the golden ticket ..........that means lots of chocolate i suppose.

 I forgot it said that! That's an obscure Simpsons reference... Bart was bored once and was sitting on his bed, tossing cupcakes at the wall. Homer asked him what he was doing and he said "whippin' cupcakes." :D

EvilMotivator - 12-15-2004 at 08:35 PM
