Terri Schiavo dead

corkey16 - 3-31-2005 at 07:42 AM

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. - Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged woman whose 15 years connected to a feeding tube sparked an epic legal battle that went all the way to the White House and Congress, died Thursday, 13 days after the tube was removed. She was 41.

This is a very sad and stupid thing that our goverment has done. I can't believe that Congress and the White House could do this to a human being. THIS IS MURDER!!! RIP Terri. Your in a better place, we all know.

i think its so so sad that the media, and even more the government got involved in this personal issue

i dont say this often; but im glad she died

JunoRedneck - 3-31-2005 at 10:17 AM

I know, this happens to people all the time. But I suppose they don't count  I don't get how the same people who so vehemently believed they should keep her alive, are a lot of the same people who strongly support war and the death penalty. The word hypocrisy comes to mind...

Ding dong, the Schiavo's gone!

HOly moly, her parents are evil.

lomax - 4-1-2005 at 01:08 AM

if i was in that position, i think i would have prefered to have gone. It seems a bit cruel though, as i believe she was in great pain for the past couple of weeks. Maybe an injection or something would have been a better option, rather than the painful drawn out withdrawal of food.

As for Bush, what the hell does it have to do with him? Did he know her or the family?

Its a tricky situation to decide 'what she wants'. But at the end of the day it should be her parents and husband who make the decision if she can't. i dont know...

7cut - 4-1-2005 at 03:58 AM

all those politicians in Terry´s case coz of improving public relations .. did anyone really CARE? it´s something the family´s gotta decide, noone else.

German actor Harald Juhnke died ...and i heard the pope ain´t doing fine neither.

no actually starving in a coma is actually a quite peaceful way of dying!

its not a tricky situation if she expressed earlier in life that she never wanted to live like this

Well that was the issue..Should it be up to her parents or her "legal guardian" (husband)? If they had agreed in the first place on what to do, there wouldn't have been so much drama..

In a related story, did anyone see this week's touching episode of South Park??:lol::lol::lol:

Jette - 4-1-2005 at 09:48 AM

oh yeah im quite excited about that! ive just read 'angels and demons' and now i know all ins and outs of the conclave, so its quite cool there is one happening soon!

by the by, are 'the da vinci code' and 'angels and demons' such great hits in america too? or just in europe?

but ofcourse i feel sorry for the pope, but he had a glorious life and, as he seems to think so himself also, its been long enough

Jette - 4-1-2005 at 09:48 AM

hey, were did corkeys post on the pope dying go to?

corkey16 - 4-1-2005 at 09:50 AM

poobs - 4-1-2005 at 06:10 PM

The whole situation is just sad..And the feuding isn't even close to being over..Rest in Peace my ass..The poor woman..

corkey16 - 4-1-2005 at 06:40 PM

rest in peace means that now she wouldn't have to deal with all that bullshit because she somewhere better than this dumbass world fill with people who voted on her to be killed.

EvilMotivator - 4-1-2005 at 06:44 PM

What would be the point of her being alive? I'd rather be dead than live like that.

corkey16 - 4-1-2005 at 07:30 PM

they could have let her die a better way than starving her to death

starving to death in a coma is a very peaceful way of dying! come on, youd really think theyd torture her a bit (more) in the end

corkey16 - 4-2-2005 at 09:38 AM

starving her is what put her in a coma. She was actually trying to talk before that.

poobs - 4-2-2005 at 10:12 AM

Well, she kinda starved herself in life, what with the eating disorders and all..Maybe she was happy to starve herself to death.. ;)

Let me also add that I don't think her death is funny..It's all very sad..So I hope everyone is working on their wills like I am..:D

corkey16 - 4-2-2005 at 10:13 AM

got ya poobs!!! Death saddens me.

corkey16 - 4-4-2005 at 08:57 AM

oh Jette your right. I didn't know all those facts. Kinda stupid but, yet a sad story.

Jette - 4-4-2005 at 10:12 AM
