so my diopters changed a bit, and now i need new glasses. i was at different opticians yesterday - but i did not really like any of their glasses. i did never think about which glasses look good - any suggestions which kind of spectacles i should get me? of course i wanna have cool ones, not glasses for losers.

What's the one I see on tv like when you in doors they look clear and when you walk outside in the sun , they turn into sunglasses.

Noisemonster - 4-6-2005 at 09:07 AM

nah, thanks for the idea, but i don't want stuff like that. i'd rather know which shape they should have

corkey16 - 4-6-2005 at 09:46 AM

I like the, i guess, square looking ones with the black frames. Those look nice. (you can tell i know nothing about glasses).:)

i love the nerdy look, enid style

7cut - 4-7-2005 at 03:51 AM

yes, nerdy fat-rimmed glasses. graham coxon style. would look good for sure. just DON`T opt for Paul Frank´s.

NO! You'll just end up looking all emo and that's totally lame.. Get some nice wire ones that make you look smart..:duh:

Noisemonster - 4-7-2005 at 08:31 AM

now i'm even more confused.. :(
which ones do attract more girls? nerdy vs wire 2:1

corkey16 - 4-7-2005 at 08:33 AM

i like wire 2:1

poobs - 4-7-2005 at 08:45 AM

Honestly, it all depends on your face..Some people look really good with really light frames..Others not so much..I'm just over the whole emo dark rimmed glasses..

Awww..I don't want to discourage you! If you like the big dark-rimmed glasses then get them! People will be calling you an emo-prissy behind your back, but who needs them anyways?? ;):duh:

corkey16 - 4-7-2005 at 09:06 AM

 or sorry :)

JunoRedneck - 4-7-2005 at 09:12 AM

When I think of the big plastic nerdy glasses, I think of Buddy Holly.

corkey16 - 4-7-2005 at 10:23 AM

me too. that one guy in blur kinda looks like him too.

TurtleEnterprises - 4-7-2005 at 11:54 AM

I love my glasses, coincedently there called turtle frames, but there cute they go with everything there like a light brown with black, there not to nerdy and sorta professional at the same time. Squarish round. I dont know if that helps but i love my glasses.

EvilMotivator - 4-7-2005 at 11:56 AM

What's the story behind TurtleEnterprises? Where'd you come up with it?

Oh do you mean tortoise shell? Yeah those are nice too, I think they're very sophisticated. I like the rimless frames myself.

RoboticTerrorSTD - 4-7-2005 at 07:15 PM

i never thought the framed ones were emo, then again in my area there aren't really any emo guys ......well, I personally haven't seen emo guys with the nerdy glasses.
Hey Noise myaybe not the super thick black frames more like.....

Noisemonster - 4-8-2005 at 09:35 AM

those are not bad.
but every time i tried such glasses on, they stuck out too far on the sides. maybe ima find 'shorter' ones tomorrow.
