Noisemonster - 4-19-2005 at 08:15 AM

he did not yet come out. the world is waiting.

TurtleEnterprises - 4-19-2005 at 08:40 AM

I hope I don't offend anyone, but I really don't care. :)

Noisemonster - 4-19-2005 at 08:41 AM

 he is german! cardinal ratzinger.

corkey16 - 4-19-2005 at 08:46 AM

Yay!!!!:D...I think....Well, I'm Baptish. My husband will be happy, he's Catholic, plus he's german too.

[Edited on 19-4-2005 by corkey16]

Noisemonster - 4-19-2005 at 08:54 AM

 i'm an atheist (although catholic) but somehow it's interesting, i think. whatever.

corkey16 - 4-19-2005 at 08:58 AM

My husband use to be kinda atheist. I talk him out of it some way. His not very religious.

Could you explain that?

And I don't care about the pope's at all.

Noisemonster - 4-19-2005 at 10:41 AM

i was baptized, do not believe in god, but did not (yet) leave the institution church.

poobs - 4-19-2005 at 02:12 PM

Brody stayed home from school because I was watching this..I know..I'm a horrible parent, but I feel it's a part of history and I wanted him to experience it..We're not religious, but it was amazing to see so many people in one place waiting for just a plain human being to come out and say a few words..It's a bummer they didn't go with someone who would be at least a bit less conservative..It would be nice to see some modernization of the Catholic church, but I guess that wouldn't be staying true to the religion in the first place..Ahh well..It was exciting to watch at least..

JunoRedneck - 4-19-2005 at 03:05 PM

I'll tell my teachers that's the reason I wasn't at school today. Now to think up explanations for the rest of the days I didn't show up...

poobs - 4-19-2005 at 03:09 PM

Uhh..You were grieving the Pope's death?

TurtleEnterprises - 4-19-2005 at 03:34 PM

Or you were helping the new pope get elected.

JunoRedneck - 4-19-2005 at 03:51 PM

good suggestions. then if they say i'm lying or something i can yell that they are offending my religion and run off crying.

Evil - 4-19-2005 at 04:03 PM

You always run off crying. What's your deal?

Awwwwwww!! Thanks Robotic! :duh:

corkey16 - 4-19-2005 at 05:53 PM

I'm surprised I actually paid attention to it. It's good to take a bit of history with you. Now, I guess I have something else to tell my grand-kids.

minimandy14 - 4-19-2005 at 08:27 PM

I was watching it before I went to school and he hadn't come out yet. Then I was sitting in my math class and I yelled at the teacher (whom already thinks I am crazy) to turn the damn tv on so I could see who the new pope is. It was funny I was all like This is important to me I am a satanist. he was like UH. . . . . . and then he turned it on, it was great. . . . .

Have you ever wondered why the smoke is white. . . . . .maybe they're in there celebrateing the new pope by smokin' some reefer. . . . .and by the way tomorrow happends to be 420 . . . . Hitler's Birthday. . . . a coincidence with the pope's death, I think not.

Evil - 4-19-2005 at 08:32 PM

It's also my brother's birthday tomorrow.

minimandy14 - 4-19-2005 at 08:35 PM

Crazy, you should tell him he has the funniest birthday on the planet.

Evil - 4-19-2005 at 08:37 PM

Ok. He's pretty funny himself. A couple years ago on his birthday some one asked him how it felt to be 23, and he replied, "Well, it's the oldest I've ever been." Maybe you had to be there. It was good, though.

minimandy14 - 4-19-2005 at 08:39 PM

It sounds funny. . . . .if someone said that to me I would probably say the same thing. . . .alas my birthday has already past though. . . . .

poobs - 4-19-2005 at 09:19 PM

I'm celebrating..It's 4:20 SOMEWHERE in the world..:D

7cut - 4-19-2005 at 10:33 PM

gee, not only a German but a BAVARIAN pope...haha. he hails from Regensburg...that´s not far from Munich.

look at his diabolical grin....

Jette - 4-20-2005 at 12:44 AM

man is he ugly. johannes paulus II was still adorable, in some way..

hasnt he been with the hitlerjugend or something? heard someone talking about it this morning

7cut - 4-20-2005 at 01:02 AM

"kein kommentar!"

Noisemonster - 4-20-2005 at 03:07 AM

 know what the headline of the biggest german (patriotic crap) newspaper said?

WE ARE POPE!

:ticking:

7cut - 4-20-2005 at 03:35 AM

Germany vs. World 1:0

oh man that sucks.. that editor is gonna get on hell of a sacking

corkey16 - 4-20-2005 at 09:16 AM

:wow: That means that the new pope went 78 years without sex. Could you guys do that?

poobs - 4-20-2005 at 09:19 AM

My son pointed this out and then Raphi on Stewoo.net posted it as well..I thought it was funny..

JunoRedneck - 4-20-2005 at 09:20 AM

:lol::lol::lol:

That's awesome

corkey16 - 4-20-2005 at 09:23 AM

:o

TurtleEnterprises - 4-20-2005 at 04:46 PM

Maybe their twins.

minimandy14 - 4-20-2005 at 06:59 PM

omg that is so great. . . . . I told you guys theres a concperacy. . . .a new pope the day before hitlers birthday AND he's german. . . . . . .

7cut - 4-21-2005 at 01:57 AM

as for the Hitlerjugend comment: well, don´t forget EVERYONE was in there....i mean you HAD to join them. you were forced to. otherwise you were captured. my Granddad´s been in there as well and he wasn´t a nazi.

and as for the pope...i´m sure he secretly masturbates or is a-sexual. there are more a-sexual people out there than you´d think. (in case you wondered i´m CLEARLY NOT among `em.. )

anyone noticed how gay he looks with these hand motions he´s doing when confronted with lots of people......like "givin` props"

poobs - 4-21-2005 at 07:30 AM

He looks so much like a politician when he does his hand gestures..Scary..:o

Jette - 4-21-2005 at 08:56 AM

am i the only one who has not yet paid much attention to the pope's handgestures..

Evil - 4-21-2005 at 10:20 AM

Nope.

Jette - 4-21-2005 at 11:31 AM

phew

(or however thats spelled)

poobs - 4-21-2005 at 12:05 PM

You didn't see any footage of when he first came out as Pope? I thought it was all over the news..

Evil - 4-21-2005 at 02:19 PM

I don't have a tv.

poobs - 4-21-2005 at 02:31 PM

Ahh..Ok..That would explain it..

minimandy14 - 4-21-2005 at 02:33 PM

I didn't notice it either. . . . Maybe he secretly wants to be a politicial, and bring back all of the power that the pope used to have back in the day.
You know that they can't do an autopsy on the pope, so you could like poison him and no one would ever know. . . . .

Evil - 4-21-2005 at 03:10 PM

He totally wants to be a politicial. I mean, who wouldn't? Oh, and I already poisoned him.

minimandy14 - 4-21-2005 at 04:39 PM

Dude, we are totally going to hell, even for thinking about poisoning the pope.

corkey16 - 4-21-2005 at 05:05 PM

I like John Paul better. You could see the holy sea in his eyes more meaning that he looked more holy. I heard the new pope is anti almost everything. John Paul excepted all kinds of people of every race, religious, sexualities, and gender. I new pope only excepts certain things I heard.

minimandy14 - 4-21-2005 at 07:22 PM

I don't understand that last sentance but alright.

7cut - 4-22-2005 at 01:24 AM

well, he´s pretty thoughtful:

[Edited on 22-4-2005 by 7cut]

corkey16 - 4-22-2005 at 07:16 AM

Oh the last sentence. The new pope only excepts certain religious and thinks gays are evil. From what I read.

minimandy14 - 4-22-2005 at 04:44 PM

Yea and I just learn today that he used to be a Nazi.

corkey16 - 4-22-2005 at 04:50 PM

Me too. I think he might have been forced to be one when he was a kid.

minimandy14 - 4-23-2005 at 02:02 PM

That may be so, but there is still the fact that HE USED TO BE A NAZI.

corkey16 - 4-24-2005 at 07:15 PM

7cut - 4-25-2005 at 02:20 AM

don´t believe anything / everything THE MEDIA says...they´re just after a headline.

Jette - 4-25-2005 at 05:06 AM

did john paul accept gay people?

poobs - 4-25-2005 at 06:55 AM

Only his gay priests that molested little boys..:lol:

corkey16 - 4-25-2005 at 08:45 AM

Yes he accepted gays.:)

minimandy14 - 4-25-2005 at 07:00 PM

I don't understand what the problem is with that. I mean people are always saying "oh if we allow gay marriages then that will lead to beastiality" ok marrying another person is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than marrying an animal. And people that think that they aren't should have a serious talk.

Jette - 4-26-2005 at 12:18 AM

i work in a bookshop and the other day we got this book on beastiality, and i was just reading the back and it said something along the lines of how we hardly realise how friendly we are with animals, that we do pet them all over, just avoiding 'that area'

now everytime i see someone pet a dog on its belly or chest something i have to think about that. quite gross really.. i get turned on when my boyfriends touching my breasts, imagine how that dog must feel :P

7cut - 4-26-2005 at 12:21 AM

i´m not against homosexual marriage but i don´t think they should be allowed adopting children. children have a right to grow up under "normal circumstances" ...like having a (female) mom and a (male) dad.

Jette - 4-26-2005 at 03:20 AM

gay men usually have more female qualities than heterosexual men, i think a child with two gay fathers would get just as much male and female influences as one with a mom and dad

7cut - 4-26-2005 at 03:49 AM

do you think their kids would be more likely to turn gay also?

Jette - 4-26-2005 at 04:48 AM

no. and if it were so, would that be bad?

poobs - 4-26-2005 at 07:13 AM

You don't "turn" gay..It's just the way you are..Did you choose to be straight? I mean, shit..In this society, why would anyone choose to be gay? I think on the whole people are more accepting now, but it's still really tough for people to come out..And I think that as long as there's unconditional love, it doesn't matter who the parents are..I'd rather have a child grow up in a healthy gay family rather than a disfunctional straight one..And what about single parents? Do you think that the kids are going to grow up and be serial killers if they aren't raised under your definition of "normal circumstances"?

corkey16 - 4-26-2005 at 08:05 AM

I don't like how the government treats gays. It's like "no they can't get married or if they do, they can't have the same standards as straight couples". Don't get me wrong, I was bought up in a very religious home that teaches you that homosexuality is a sin, but I do feel that gays are still humans like all of us. The government likes to treat them like they are some kind of animal. It's not right.

Word.

My sister and her girlfriend are thinking about both getting pregnant real soon. I think it'd be awesome for them to raise two little kids together.

Jette - 4-26-2005 at 01:37 PM

Evil - 4-27-2005 at 11:11 AM

JunoRedneck - 4-27-2005 at 11:33 AM

Jette - 4-27-2005 at 12:25 PM

a unanimous donor, that's hilarious. cuz it's like, as opposed to a split decision donor.

Evil - 4-27-2005 at 04:29 PM

Eff off, Isaac.
