Today is Brody's last day of 3rd grade..I swear this year has gone by at lightening speed..He went in a little boy and has come out..well, still a little boy, but a bit more grown up.. :duh:
4th grade, here we come!!

corkey16 - 6-16-2005 at 07:10 AM

Time sure has flown by this year. Where the hell has it gone??? (Another reason I'm uncertain of having children anymore, they grow up way too fast)

poobs - 6-16-2005 at 07:30 AM

It's true..At the beginning of this year, I could still pretty much carry him up the stairs..Now he's WAY too tall..He's up to my chin!! :o And he doesn't let me walk him all the way to his room anymore..I have to say bye to him by the gate..And I don't get a hug, but I get to kiss him on the top of his head.. *sigh*

DylerPlummer - 6-16-2005 at 07:55 AM

It certainly does.. My little baby was 17 yesterday :(

Noisemonster - 6-16-2005 at 08:27 AM

feels like new year's day was just yesterday.. especially the last two, three months passed by like seconds.

I know! Half of the year is gone already!! I remember I used to get so annoyed when these middle-aged jackasses would come in to my work and tell me how fast time goes as you get older..My 19 year old mind just thought they were delusional..But, damn..It's so true..I find myself telling younger people that all the time now..:duh:

 you're totally right, poobs. as a kid, time went so slow!! but it seems to accelerate from year to year. i wonder why we feel that way, cuz (when i count 'em) one second is still like one second.
time runs out faster and faster and no one can stop it.

Oh man..I can't wait to serve the pizza to the kids..When that little bitch that has been horrible to Brody comes up, I'm gonna tell her "Only good kids get pizza..NEXT!!" :saint: Or maybe I'll give it to her and say, "Enjoy..I saved this piece especially for you.." Mwaahahahaa!!

JunoRedneck - 6-16-2005 at 10:32 AM

Why was she being a bitch to Brody? :(

poobs - 6-16-2005 at 01:26 PM

She's a bitch to everyone..She bites people..She says horrible things to people..She stole money from some chick and stuck it in Brody's desk and told on him!! Luckily the teacher knows her style so she got in trouble..She's just a horrible little girl..I put her in her place today..Just kinda whispered under my breath that I know where she lives and that one night I will sneak in there and change her attitude for her..:D

TurtleEnterprises - 6-16-2005 at 02:24 PM

Wow Brody is the same age as my lil brother then, his last day of third grade is in a few weeks. That's funny cause this year my lil brother doesnt let me hold his hand anymore crossing the street and when I pick him up from school i cant even get a kissey anymore.

Whenever I worked with little kids, there were always a couple of kids like that. They're the same kids whose parents don't believe in discipline and let their own kids boss them around.

poobs - 6-17-2005 at 10:04 AM

Totally..Give me a week with that child and she'll be an angel..

 i hate to work when i'm tired all day.. but sometimes you have no other choice.

poobs - 6-19-2005 at 08:35 PM

Aaaahhhhh!!! It's not even morning for me but that picture totally woke me up!!:lol: You look like you're ready to start the day!! Or take a nap..;)

Noisemonster - 6-19-2005 at 08:43 PM

i'd prefer the latter! but the stench does not disappear. it is so strong, it even avoids my sleep.

I actually was gonna sleep in longer, but I had to get up and wish my dad a happy father's day.

You suck. Oh. Does everyone here want to hear a kind of funny story? Yay! Sooooo Juno and I went to the Futureheads show in SF last night, and guess who we saw. Go on, guess.

Good old avw! Yay! She's nice. And it was funny. And we didn't know we were both on .net until after we had been talking about Ima Robot for ten minutes or so. Okay. That's my story of the day. Maybe she'll come back and post here again.

poobs - 6-19-2005 at 10:20 PM

Awwww!! Amanda!! That's so cool! We should have a northern Cali Ima Robot meet-up at the next show..:duh:

bananaboat - 6-20-2005 at 01:36 PM

Wow you're right. I just realized that half a year has just gone by. It feels like just yesterday it was January. *ah la sigh*
