minimandy14 - 9-23-2005 at 04:11 PM

And you listen to Disturbed? Like you think that that's hardcore or something? Disturbed sucks ass.

corkey16 - 9-23-2005 at 04:15 PM

Didn't say I though they were hardcore and I know this already. Cause peppy kids have to sell out shit like that to make them suck.

Evil - 9-23-2005 at 04:22 PM

bands sell themselves out.

minimandy14 - 9-24-2005 at 12:18 PM

I honestly don't care if a band "sells out" because it's really about the way they sound not how much money they are making. And honestly, if you could be making more money, you'd do it to, so it's so stupid when people use that excuse "sell out".

corkey16 - 9-24-2005 at 09:07 PM

Typical mainstream kid.

minimandy14 - 9-25-2005 at 11:48 AM

Umm first off NO, I do listen to alot of underground bands, but for your info, that is just really fuckin' retarded when people call bands sell outs.

corkey16 - 9-25-2005 at 04:40 PM

That means that they are more interested in fame and money than making music and fans. Nothing wrong with making money though, it's just they are interested in being on every music cover, every t.v. channel, every movies, commericals, making music only for your christian mtv watching kids, and coming out with there on clothing and perfume line. Some of it is o.k., but some take it over the top. I mean, look at Green Day.

Ok isn't fame the same as making fans? How can someone make fans without going mainstream, it's not always the bands fault, and yes I will give you that some do over do it like greenday, but that doesn't effect there music, it doesn't effect how they play or what they sound like, well most the time, but in the here and now it doesn't.

Evil - 9-26-2005 at 08:25 PM

are you saying you're a B****** S***** fan? she's famous.

Noisemonster - 9-26-2005 at 10:15 PM

october is a good month. the doctors cut me out of my mom's belly then.

Evil - 9-26-2005 at 10:57 PM

what day?

Noisemonster - 9-26-2005 at 11:34 PM

corkey16 - 9-27-2005 at 06:30 AM

Cool, yeah, I got 3 family members with birthdays in October, so, I'm going to be very broke before November Christmas shopping comes.:(

Noisemonster - 9-28-2005 at 12:08 AM

No, I'm not saying that I like all famous people! Far from it! But when people say that they don't like a band or something just because it's "mainstream" it's retarded, or they stop liking someone becuase they liked them before they were famous and then stopped becuase they became famous, it's retarded.

Evil - 9-29-2005 at 12:57 PM

just because a band is mainstream doesn't mean they sold out.

minimandy14 - 9-29-2005 at 02:02 PM

Exactly what I am trying to say!

I had an ex like that..It bugged me sooo much..And he couldn't understand that music was for entertainment..Every band had to be "deep"..I used to blast my N'Sync or Eminem whenever I got mad at him..

minimandy14 - 9-29-2005 at 05:15 PM

Yea that's just crazy talk! But yea, I wouldn't be caught dead listening to Eminem! . . . N'Sync. . .that's another story! MWAHAHAHAHA Just kiddin'

corkey16 - 9-30-2005 at 06:01 AM

The reason mainstream pisses me off some is that some of the bands I like that go mainstream start sound more poppish or they are categorized as pop. Then you got all the posers who think they are hardcore cause they listen to them. Man, music changed so much.:( I remember the good old days when music was better than this MTV created junk. Joy Division, Smashing Pumpkins, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Salt, Nirvana, The Seattle Scene,........ALL BANDS THAT BROKE UP!!!!......:( Why? Yay, I seeing the Bauhaus on Thanksgiving!!!!:D = cheese!

minimandy14 - 9-30-2005 at 12:12 PM

Yea I see where you are coming from, but that isn't they same with every band, and if you are listening to one album, and then all of a sudden that album becomes big and famous and in the "pop" scene, who gives a fuck, you like them! That's all that matters, who gives a shit if it's labels as pop, I mean, if it's punk rock to you then, well hell, isn't that supposed to mean not caring about labels and shit?

Evil - 10-3-2005 at 10:39 PM

The second exciting thing to happen to me in October:

I met Billy Idol. It was far too hectic to try to get a picture with him.

corkey16 - 10-4-2005 at 05:25 AM

Who signed your shirt?

JunoRedneck - 10-4-2005 at 02:05 PM

seriously? you're asking that question?

Evil - 10-4-2005 at 02:06 PM

d-d-d-douche bag!

corkey16 - 10-4-2005 at 03:29 PM

I asking which member of Ima Robot signed it. Duh. A smart person could have figured out that question. Yes I know Ima signed it, I'm asking which one.

JunoRedneck - 10-4-2005 at 03:31 PM

A smart person could have also read what she wrote and realized that Billy Idol signed it.

corkey16 - 10-4-2005 at 03:35 PM

A Ima Robot shirt?!?! That makes no sense. Why would he want to sign a Ima Robot shirt? He must don't know who Ima Robot is.

Evil - 10-4-2005 at 03:36 PM

yes...he must don't know...

corkey16 - 10-4-2005 at 03:39 PM

Well, atleast you got his autograph.

minimandy14 - 10-4-2005 at 06:01 PM

Dude, you are my freakin IDOL! Evil! That is awesome, was he nice?

Evil - 10-5-2005 at 12:41 AM

i didn't really get to talk to him, he was hurrying to get into a waiting van and then he left real fast before all the crazy drunk people from inside the show could get behind the venue. life is tough as rockstar.

my boyfriend has to start off with his

the city of love.

Noisemonster - 10-6-2005 at 02:19 AM
