Oh I went and saw that today too! I thought it was alright, it was SUPER long though! And I'm going to have nightmares about the bugs. I was seriously freakin' out at that part!

I was impressed that Peter Jackson gave Jack Black all of the greed and limelight-seeking. If any of you saw the previous version (circa 1976) with Jessica Lange she totally was the one seeking fame.

They made Naomi Watts very innocent; she was pretty hot!

It looks pretty good. Wonder how much over budget they went(read that jackson ended up paying for part of it). This is a must see on the big screen. Thers a good online diary of their post process. There use to be a production diary but they took it down and are now selling it. Superman also has a production diary up.

There's no way I'll ever see this..It's a horrible story..I'm sure it looks cool and everything, but the thought of it pisses me off..:mad:

What? How? It's just a movie poobs. I thought it was awesome though like seriously, I think they could have found someone better than Jack Black to play in it, but he was still pretty awesome.

I know that, and I don't see why you have a problem with this movie in paricular becuase it lets people see that, and realize "oh this is wrong" because Kong has feelings.

Yeah, that was sad what they did to King Kong at the end. He was just having fun on the ice.:( Damn army!:mad:

That's not what I said at all..I said I refuse to see THIS movie because of the subject matter..I have a soft spot for cruelty to animals and choose not to watch movies that exploits them..Why is that such a hard concept to grasp? I'm not really fond of movies with explicit rape scenes either..Is that ok? :rolleyes:

I understand that you have a soft spot for animals, I do to(was a member of peta, am a vegetarian(was a vegan), protested, the whole nine yards). Do you not watch any films with subject matter worse than king kong? If so, I dont know how an underlining story about animal cruelty is much worse than racism, human death, abuse, etc...

Did anyone else see the X3 trailer before king kong?? What did you think?? I think its going to be really good. They actually built part of the golden gate bridge and alcatraz(saw the location they filmed it at, but it was all torn down except for the massive green screen). The funny thing is that they are still filming it(it comes out in may). They are over budget and behind schedule(the wrap at the end of January) and are filming with three teams at once.

ps

Saw King Kong on Tuesday. It was pretty good, SPFX were amazing but it was too long(Jackson is full of himself). They could have cut out 45 mins.

Ya, that scene took about 2 months to shoot. From what ive herad from people X3 is going to be sick.

*SPOILER*
Magneto takes the golden gate bridge and throws it into alcatraz to break out all the mutants. The part of the bridge they built actually lifted up and moved.
