Another case of reading a thweet review and feeling an automatic kinship with a band I had never heard.
Received the Remix CD as a gift, and am loving it so far. Still have never heard the band non-remixed. Anyone here like them?happysmilely - 12-23-2005 at 09:56 PM
I think you can download no-remixed songs there
If not e-mail me, I'll send you some.Evil - 12-24-2005 at 12:26 AM
ohyesgood. i bought the album a while ago before i had heard any song by them, and was pleasantly surprised by the rockin tunes.draconian - 12-24-2005 at 05:51 AM
Thanks for the links, these will keep me sated for a while.Noisemonster - 12-24-2005 at 06:49 AM
That's like the only rock band that I liked this year! Two canadian freaks - a singing-screaming drummer and the other one has a bass-guitar and
a synthie - going totally wild.. My favorite tune is 'Romantic Rights'. You gotta check it out!
btw, they had to call themselves Death From Above 1979 because the record label of LCD Soundsystem and stuff already had the
name DFA..Seb - 12-24-2005 at 10:06 AM
Out of all the amazing Canadian bands why do they have to blow up...try checking out some west coast stuff(fuck Toronto, haha). Vancouver has a very
good over looked indie scene. Look up You say party! We say die!, Fun 100, the organ and bakelite.draconian - 12-25-2005 at 04:33 PM
Thanks, guys.
Sometimes I think we Ima Robot fans are all the same person.happysmilely - 12-25-2005 at 06:51 PM

Well I d/l'd the album from iTunes, and feel like a chump for spending almost a year ignorant of this KICKASS band! I would like nothing more
than to see them play live.
89.3 The Current is having this promotion where listeners can submit three songs to be played during the noon hour next week, I submitted Romantic
Rights by DFA, Age of Consent by New Order, and High Rise by Ladytron, a bitching set if I do say so myself.happysmilely - 12-28-2005 at 07:19 PM
I must agree, super bitching! Noisemonster - 1-6-2006 at 10:16 AM

I checked out The Organ and must say, they're really neat! Thank you for the great tip! :D
