hahah I love how there is like 4 threads on this.

Noisemonster - 9-6-2006 at 12:59 PM

:D The album is WAY better than I thought it would be. At first, I was a little disappointed, but after two or three listenings, I was drawn into it more and more. Nevertheless, I think both the first album and the EP are still better. I don't really like the production of Monument To The Masses, can't explain it. And I miss some crazy songs like A is for Action..
But the new album is still awesome. I especially love Eskimo Ride and the new version of Chip Off The Block.

idreamptofUmbrella - 9-6-2006 at 03:45 PM

i always thought stick it to the man was crazy like a is for action. and fibonacci is definitely crazy. i personally think that the new album is perfect. it's different from the debut and ep, but ima robot has always been about change.

beedun - 9-6-2006 at 07:33 PM

I think its fuckin perfect.

I wish it was longer though, I say cram the CD with a full 80 minutes of goodness.

Yeah, I LOVE Stick it to the man, too, but imho it's not as freaky as A is for Action and other songs from the debut. :) Whatever.. grrrrr, I'd like to hear Fibonacci! The lyrics made me curious. I guess I'll never have the opportunity to hear it........... :(

beedun - 9-7-2006 at 10:05 AM

I have a copy of fibonacci. It needs some audio adjusting to it though, sounds good on a computer but in a car or other nice stereo there is too much bass. Also the left channel didn't record as loud as the right. Is there anyone here capable of remastering it?

a is for action is definitely more out of control, but as a whole i think this album is more rebellious. i could send you fibonacci, but it has the same problems as beeduns. u2u me.

beedun - 9-7-2006 at 08:39 PM

It has the same problem cause i'm the one that recorded it :)

But seriously is there someone good at remastering around here that cold fix it up?

imarob2 - 9-8-2006 at 06:23 AM

if you adjust the volume preset and equalizer preset for the song in itunes it helps some. ill post it if i find anything better.

The copy of this that I have sounds fine; on the computer and on the rock'in home stereo. I'll take a look at it in Logic Express (Pro Tools) and see if I can clean it up for you.

beedun - 9-8-2006 at 11:03 AM

I had about 15 seconds to get ready to record the song when I heard it was going to be played. If you could fix this for all of us that would be awesome. We should get this song put up in the downloads section for everyone to grab. Hoarding songs for yourself is just greedy.....

Obviously, I don't hoard songs! I share them all via .net!

Yeah, let me see how much cleaner I can make it and I'll put it up for everyones enjoyment.

Not saying you hoard but there are other around here that do unfortunately....

minimandy14 - 9-8-2006 at 08:44 PM

*cough* poobs *cough*

Noisemonster - 9-10-2006 at 07:52 AM

Thanks a lot, now I've got the 'limited sound quality' version.

I think it's definitely one of the best songs around the new album!
