minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 08:36 PM
I like Fiction, and Political (NON-fiction) and some inspirational ( like A Child Called It kinda stuff) omg I read toooooo much. But yea.
JunoRedneck - 10-10-2006 at 08:43 PM
I just finished this book, A Star Called Henry. It was a fictional portrayal of the making of an IRA terrorist. Twas cool. But kinda depressing.
Evil - 10-10-2006 at 08:43 PM
you only wish it was fiction
minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 08:46 PM
Right now I'm reading Cry To Heaven- by Anne Rice, Left Behind - by those two dudes I don't remember, and Sleeping With The Devil (How Washington sold
our soul for Saudi crude)- by Robert Baer (just finished that one actually) and I'm starting this one called Under the Black Flag, which is about the
history of Pirates.
Evil - 10-10-2006 at 08:51 PM
i just finished NAKED by david sedaris. i like when gay men write about their lives.
minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 08:52 PM
lol fun.
JunoRedneck - 10-10-2006 at 08:53 PM
I borrowed Slaughterhouse Five from this guy I was going out with. And here it is, 5 months after we've broken up, and I haven't even started it. And
yes, I kept it
minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 08:54 PM
That's the way to do it!
JunoRedneck - 10-10-2006 at 08:58 PM

minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 09:02 PM
I wish I could steal a book from someone. . . .yup steal.
JunoRedneck - 10-10-2006 at 09:03 PM
Do you have an enemy? Preferably an enemy with a much loved book that is very unguarded?
minimandy14 - 10-10-2006 at 09:06 PM
lol not that I know of. . . . I'm just enemys with the squirrels, I hate them . . . . but I'm pretty sure they don't have any unguarded books.
Evil - 10-11-2006 at 05:58 AM
you're just not looking in the right places
beedun - 10-11-2006 at 08:19 AM
House of Leaves y'all
nitsujvg - 10-11-2006 at 09:03 AM
anne rice is a great author. im on the 6th book of her vampire chronicles (the vampire armand)
the last book, Memnoch the Devil
was great.
its about the main character Lestat's travels through Heaven and Hell.
pretty good read.
minimandy14 - 10-11-2006 at 09:52 AM
OMG YES! I LOVED MEMNOCH THE DEVIL! I kinda skipped The Vampire Armand then I went back to it after I finished the rest of them . . . it's a pretty
gay (literally) book. But still good nontheless. You should read The Lives of the Mayfair Witches OMG SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good.
nitsujvg - 10-11-2006 at 07:44 PM
yeah im going to go to the whiches books after i finish these last 4 books.
and yeah, the armand book is
so
gay
its like one of her eroticas, but not.
ugh.
can't get that scene out of my head
where he's talking about the bath they had
and how Marius is sucking his nipples
and other things.
and
okay people on here who havent read the book are going to think im into gay literature.
minimandy14 - 10-11-2006 at 08:30 PM
lol it's totally NOT gay, I mean, she does have like a few gay "scenes" and through it you're like reading fast just to get through it and stuff
becuase it's so gay. . . but then like in between is SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING! I freakin' LOVED Tale of the Body Theif! And the movie Queen of the Damned
SO did NOT NOT NOT! Give justice to the book! That just pissed me off, it's like "ok, I'm going to read the back of the book and assume that I know
what it's about, and write a movie about it. . yea. . .that'll make it good!" But yea, the Mayfair Witches. . . SO AWESOME! I think I liked them maybe
a little more than The Vampire Chronicles. . . .BUUUUTTTT they are a little weird towards the end. . . . and there is ALOT of incest in it. . . but
it's still awesome, and kinda creepy. (wow, what a long post!)
nitsujvg - 10-15-2006 at 03:11 PM
lol yeaaah i can't wait to get to them!
i actually held off reading other books
because i left my "the vampire armand" book at my school on the last day, and had to wait until the next year started to read it again.

yay for anne rice!
and i totally agree with you on the movie.
like the scene where he gets her blood..
wtf they skipped like 40 minutes worth of scenes.
the whole king trying to kill him thing?
and (its been a while, but) i thought she sucked his blood too while he was sucking hers?
i was wayyy disappointed.

minimandy14 - 10-15-2006 at 07:10 PM
Yea she SO did, and then the whole "oh marius made me" thing WHAAAAAAAT?! umm NO! And it TOTALLY contradicts the Lestat in Interview with the Vampire
(the movie) because he tells louis in the movie, "I didn't learn anything from my maker" and then in Queen of the Damned he's like "I learned
everything from my maker. . .and GAH! IT RRREEEEEEAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY made me mad that they tried to say that Marius was Lestats maker. . . . I
think that was the BIGGEST thing that pissed me off about that movie. . . . .and they totally made David Talbot a young person, and he's supposed to
be an old man!
haha I totally wouldn't have waited until next school year! I was in the middle of reading The Witching Hour when I went on vacation to Cali for a
week and I totally left it at home, so I went and bought a new copy of it so I could read it while I was there, and I was only gone for a week! (but
that book really is that good!)
nitsujvg - 10-16-2006 at 11:33 PM
lol i can't wait to finish the series now!
