What sonG would it be??????

beedun - 9-30-2007 at 05:54 AM

If you had the opportunity to introduce Ima Robot to a friend/person that thas never heard them and you can only play 1 song, which song would you choose to sum up all of Ima Robot's greatness in 1 lonely track??

I am still thinking my answer to this but it would be one of these three:

STD Dance
My Number
Evil Thoughts

I have thought of this before

Creeps Me Out would not be one of my choices, even though it might be the best choice... seeing that that is the song most non-superfans would like.

Now I have to think of my real answer...

love is a boombox.

DoktorJesus - 10-1-2007 at 05:02 PM

Oh man, this is a hard one.

Either:
Party All the Time (Cause they make it so much sexxier than Eddie Murphy)
Fibonacci
Patriots Dying
or...
I follow you, cause it's the longest :D.

idreamptofUmbrella - 10-1-2007 at 06:15 PM

what's the first song you heard from the bot, and what was your first impression?

i'd play love is a boombox because it's the first song of theirs i heard and right then i knew ima robot was something different.

The first song I heard was A is for Action but the song that I like to introduce to people first is STD Dance.

neckbeard - 10-1-2007 at 09:03 PM

the first song i heard was Alive.

and i loved every second of it.

cankersaurous - 10-2-2007 at 12:53 AM

fuckin 12=3... come on!

beedun - 10-2-2007 at 06:09 AM

All of these songs are worthy....

A is for Action was the first Ima tune I heard as well and I considered putting that in my list as well.

I think all of the different styles and sounds Ima Robot has makes this question extremely difficult to come up with the perfect answer. Which makes me think that the only logical thing to do to a potential new IMA fan would be to chain them up and force them to listen to every song :)

Here Come the Bombs or Dynomite was my first heard

It was in my art class at school... we play music over the ceiling speakers. Then fell in love.

beedun - 10-6-2007 at 05:37 PM

I revamped my list to choose from

My Number
Evil Thoughts
Alive
Dangerous Life

decisions, decisions, decision...

If I'm at my computer: Two Hearts Too Young. If I only have YouTube to work with: Lovers In Captivity (I would *not* play the song by itself, sans video, as an introduction, but the song and video together are magic).

Yes, the video for Lover's make it 1 million times better!! Not that its bad without it, but together its an amazing experience.

As for song I would first play for some one would be Here Come The Bombs because that Was the first song that I heard. Again (second Justy because we went to same high school) in the art room we played amazing music over the loud speakers in the class room. It was great. From there on I haven't stopped listening to Ima Robot.
