WTF Virus on imarobot.net....

Whenever a page refreshes for me from this website my antivirus keeps going off listing the file/virus below trying to load:

http://golnanosat.com/adw_files/5039/9830841b/install.exe?id...
Win32:Zbot-ABC [Trj]
Trojan Horse Virus.

In my status bar I can see imarobot.net trying to load something from the golnanosat.com server whenever I refresh the page. Everyone might want to run a virus check just to be safe.

I use Avast! Antivirus. Anyone else having this same problem?

It's coming the from the page the iframe loads on the bottom of this site - http://counthum.info/users/u29/1.php

It's still coming up for me. Either your antivirus isn't catching it or its silently blocking it. Lets hope for the later.

beedun is right. something is wrong. the loading is to much for my ps3 ever since last week. it says not enough memeory. hence the reason i'm on less.

Remove this code from the very bottom of the site and it will get rid of the problem. Is there anyone here capable of this? I like coming to this site but i'm about to stop until it quits trying to infest my computer.

I fixed it from ever happening again on my computer, here is what to do:


I hold no responsibility if you fuck up your computer over this.... XP Pro users only too...

You need to add the following entries into your HOSTS file located here:

c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/HOSTS

Once you are editing this file add the following 4 lines to the bottom of the file:

127.0.0.1 golnanosat.com
127.0.0.1 www.golnanosat.com
127.0.0.1 counthum.info
127.0.0.1 www.counthum.info

(the http:// SHOULD NOT be in the address above, just www. its adding that extra for some reason....)


Then save the file but make sure you don't give it an extension (like .txt) -if you do it won't work.

That is it!

If you can't find your HOSTS file do some googling like "HOSTS file in xp home"


By doing this you tell windows to load up information from the ip address 127.0.0.1 instead of what is really on the gonanosat.com/counthum.info servers. 127.0.0.1 is the local address windows gives your computer so in essence you tell it to load info from your own computer instead of getting the virus.

Ok either phobs needs to come back for good, like be on more, or needs to have someone else maintaining the site on a regular basis becuase it seems like everything is going wrong. The media player on the front page expired, the imarobot.net logo went back to it's default.... Lets not forget the virus. lol.

Yeah i know i've been busy with work and other crap. But other than posting there's no reason to be on for me right now. And the posting has been really slow lately. Idk I mainly wanna take it on as an experimental thing to learn how to do this stuff, get some experience, and improve this place.

Everything else got messed up on the site when Phobiac got rid of the virus, he had to reinstall the message board software to fix the issue, give him a break please.


As for me maintaining the site, I really don't want to or have the time to do so right now. For those of you that don't know I have a wife and 2 children and create/maintain/program websites for a living so taking on a another site to my list scares me. I mean I love coming here and all but I have to draw the line somewhere.

I think if I would have had access to the site files I could have removed the virus code within a few minutes so next time something like this happens just ask me if I am available to help. Helping out once in a while would be great, but not a daily thing...
