SOOOOO Seems how the Election is coming up and all. And I know that we've had a few little off rants in other threads. I decided that I might as well make a thread for political ranting and ravings. If you don't agree with someone it only stays on this thread. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. With that being said

I was reading this other forum on myspace about people's worst president fears and if I had seen some of those people in person they would have been slapped. You know alot of people still think that Obama is Muslim!

i don't like politics. i really don't. because they can say this and that just to get in that presidential spot. they can say they'll do something. but who is really gonna make sure they do? nobody can. they can say i'm gonna fix the economy get america out of it's debt lower taxes and other things. but how much can really get done. they can purpose bills and tell about what they think would help. but that doesn't nessicarily mean everything should work. i think that instead of one president we should have like 3 or something. to equal out the power even more like the branches of government do. 1 spot could be republican the other democrat and the final one could be someone that both the other presidents agree on sharing it with. maybe it's a bad idea cause they'd always fight. lol

That's why there are two other branches of government, to counter act the president or to work with him. No one is saying that Obama OR McCain will wave a magic wand and get everything the way that they want it to be, but they will try. I don't know about people acting like Obama is a savior but change is good in any government.

This is what I don't understand when people say this. It comes down to youth, and wildly insane imagination. What could possibly happen if Obama is elected:

what i don't like is seeing so many obama shirts at school. my friend was wearing one at lunch yesterday and that was it. i asked him if he even knew what obama wanted. he said uhhhhhhhhhhh lower taxes and low gas prices. really now? it's just people say they want obama for change, and most of the people i'm around that say they want obama don't even know either side whatsoever.

and the president can't lower gas prices. unless he drops the tax on it and puts america in even more debt. which is stupid.

Can any of these people vote yet? And by the by it's actually REPUBLICANS that LOWER taxes. Which is all fine and dandy but then the government does not have suficient funds for schools and roads and such. I'm not about sky rocketing taxes though, don't get me wrong but SOME tax is better than NO tax, it's what keeps our country running and in working order. It's what keeps our military up, and our police officers on patrol. Cutting taxes does not fix everything and you can tell those people at your school that they're dumbasses not because lowering taxes would put our country in more debt but because Democrats are actually for higher taxes. And maybe they should do some research before they start advertising that they are supporting something that they don't even know what it is. Stop listening to the liberal media, look for yourself! UGH! I hate the news but I can't help it.

Man, all she had to say was Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, MAD magazine, The Onion, anything, and Katie would've moved on, but she didn't. I'm sure nerves have a lot to do with it, but man Katie Couric is nothing compared to how nervous I would be tonight. Oh well.

It was a pretty good debate. Good stuff from both sides. I was kinda dissapointed in that. lol But yea. I'm not a fan of Palin, everytime she took a jab at Biden she'd smirk and smile like "MWAHAHAH!" but Biden what just smooth and "skeezy" just like "hmmhmmmhmm"

Dude..All of the polls have Obama leading..My mom's fiance seems to think that the race card could come into play with the whiteys, but I just don't think so..I think people are fed up with Republicans in general after these last 8 years..Doesn't matter who ran, I just don't think American will have another Republican in office right now..I think it'll be fairly close, but..I've alread accepted that the Democraps are going to win and I've moved on.. ;)

As a person, though, I really dig McCain..It bums me out..I don't know if he'd do a better job in the White House than Obama, but I enjoy hearing him talk about his experiences in the war and his long history in politics..He's an interesting guy..
