I usually don't need to step in, but let me share my two cents.
[steps up onto soap box]
I take a backseat here and most of you guys run, contribute and make this tiny little website a cool place to share your excitement for Ima Robot,
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, other great bands, and random ramblings.
This little project has been up and running since June of 2002; that's 7 years. I think the coolest part is that there is somewhat of a documentation
preserved about Ima Robot and more recently Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. Collectively we are able to obtain rare tracks that are great
treats, share our excitement for some creative genius and keep of living history of what was going on.
When you start editing, deleting or censoring posts your taking away from that purity and preservation of what was going on. If someone wants to edit
or delete a post that they have created they have that right and ability, but I don't want to go in and change what someone has posted. If we go down
that road then this could just turn into a pre-manufactured marketing message controlled by those who might be.
Although some who post here come very close to crossing the line with respect to the rules that are agreed to when registering, most of those issues
seem to work themselves out; just like in a close loving dysfunctional family.
[steps off soapbox]
So, let's keep the post editing to those who created posts. If a post is offensive please report it or flag it.
Sometimes we even keep the spam posts around as they can be rather amusing.
So, now the jade, zip, alex info within that thread will be lost to the ether, only maintained in our collective memory for those who were able to
sneak a peek at it before an untimely removal.
RIP jade, zip, alex thread.

Thank you for the.. Rather elegant speech written above. It does go a long way when it comes to maintaining free speech... I won't mention the thread
in question, but I will say that I thank you for taking aside time to make a post in regards to this, because it's good to know that we are all like
minded individuals.poobs - 7-7-2009 at 10:11 AM
Preach it, Phobs! For a second, I kept getting Stan's dad from South Park in my head when he was the fighting dad at baseball games.."Ohh..I'm
sorry..I thought this was America! I thought we were in America! I'm sorrryy.."..
There have only been a handful of times that I can remember in these past 7 (!!!) years that I felt someone needed to step in and start some
deleting..Let's all just chill and maybe think a little before we post so that others won't think deleting is necessary..Sarbear - 7-7-2009 at 11:17 AM
