I don't know if this should go here since it's not Ima Robot news, but it's related to Timmy and the label so..Feel free to move it if you think it should go somewhere else.. :)

Quote:

When Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields bring their Dead Man's Bones project to your town, they aren't coming alone. Oh no. On their very first tour, scheduled for this October, the actor/musician duo will bring the songs of their debut album to life with the help of a local choir in each of the twelve spots they're hitting. As Gosling and Shields explained to us, their self-titled debut (out October 6 on Anti-) was recorded with the Silverlake Conservatory Children's Choir. But they can't bring all those kids on the road with them. Hence, a new group in every city.

To make the experience even cooler, the opening act for the shows will be a talent show, organized by the band and featuring local talent in each city. Wow.

Dead Man's Bones:

10-14 Cambridge, MA - Brattle Theatre
10-15 New York, NY - Le Poisson Rouge
10-16 Philadelphia, PA - First Unitarian Church Sanctuary
10-17 Washington, DC - Sixth & I Historic Synagogue
10-19 Montreal, Quebec - Le National
10-20 Toronto, Ontario - The Music Gallery
10-21 Chicago, IL - Schubas (early show)
10-21 Chicago, IL - Schubas (late show)
10-23 Seattle, WA - The Triple Door
10-24 Vancouver, British Columbia - Venue
10-25 Portland, OR - Mississippi Studios
10-27 San Francisco, CA - Swedish American Hall
10-30 Los Angeles, CA - The Regent

Bah! I'm so excited!!

I love what I've heard so far, so if the rest of the album holds up, I'm probably go to the Philly show. I'm sure it'll be interesting.

Is Name in Stone not on the album or was the song renamed? Amazon shows the track listing as:

1. Intro
2. Dead Hearts
3. In The Room Where You Sleep
4. Buried in Water
5. My Body s a Zombie for You
6. Pa Pa Power
7. Young & Tragic
8. Paper Ships
9. Lose Your Soul
10. Werewolf Heart
11. Dead Man s Bones
12. Flowers Grow Out of My Grave

I hope it's on there cause it's a fantastic song.

interesting. earlier i had seen this tracklisting with it on it:

01 – Intro
02 – Dead Hearts
03 – Name in Stone
04 – Buried in Water
05 – My Bodies a Zombie for You
06 – Pa Pa Power
07 – In the Roam Where You Sleep
08 – Young and Tragic
09 – Paper Ships
10 – Lose Your Soul
11 – Werewolf Heart
12 – Dead Man’s Bones
13 – Flowers Grow Out of My Grave

hopefully amazon has the wrong listing, like when MTTM was coming out?

Does anyone know how to get tickets to the Regent show? I'm sure there's some stupid thing I've overlooked, but I can't find where to buy tix..
