Talz - 11-27-2003 at 09:26 AM

lomax - 11-28-2003 at 05:02 AM

dammit. we need more brit 'bots

MichelleRene - 11-30-2003 at 02:25 PM

I know this probably doesn't count, but I have (Brit) heritage in my background. I'm a crazy mix of English, Irish, Polish and Native American (Cherokee). So I guess I'm half a Brit Bot by a small technicality. (?)

Phobiac - 11-30-2003 at 07:22 PM

Count me in as the Welsh connection. My Mum is 100% Welsh.

seacaptain - 12-1-2003 at 04:51 AM

I'm 1/8 Irish if that counts for anything.

Phobiac - 12-1-2003 at 12:46 PM

Look what Talz started. All this from crap!

MichelleRene - 12-2-2003 at 06:34 AM

Yeah, the UK is awesome! I was there to visit back in 95' and to welcome in the new year. I got to visit my favorite place on Earth-Glastonbury. It reminded me of Woodstock, NY with all of the shops and artisans. Ah, the Tor. The legend of Arthur, the Druids and "Excalibur" Rules!!!

draconian - 12-2-2003 at 03:51 PM

London is my second-favorite city in the world, I think, after Rome. I worked there for a while and got fat on pudding and caramel cake.

I don't think I'm any bit Irish, pretty much half German, half Venezuelan.

MichelleRene - 12-3-2003 at 08:09 AM

Wow Drac, I bet you're gorgeous. That's a unique mix of backgrounds. (tall & great hair?) I'm a mutt.

I really would love to visit Italy. I did get to stay in Greece for 2 months 3 years ago. That was quite an experience. Beautiful romantic islands and lots of coffee bars. The squid I could do without! I still have a bottle of Greek Ouzo at my house. (Strong stuff). I would love to go back to England!

lomax - 12-4-2003 at 09:03 AM

wow. u guys think so highly of london. its nice, but i wouldnt put it that high!its got some real dump places though.

there is some 50%Brit 'Bots on the boards and 25%!! so, if you all team up, thats a few more!

MichelleRene - 12-4-2003 at 09:32 AM

Yeah, there's yucky spots in every country. My friend Sue (while we were in England) drug me to some bar called The Ruskin Arms (?), some really Metal type of bar that played old Iron Maiden ("Wrathchild" era) and boy, they had the worst ladies room I've ever seen. Picture the scene from "Trainspotting". We got the strangest looks in that place-we were there to surprise one of her friends, and he wasn't there that night.

Wow....we did hit a couple of pubs, Planet Hollywood, the dungeons, and The Wag (an after hours bar). Alot of Goth types in there. My favorite was shopping in Kensington, they had a great indoor flea market! (lot's of old school punks) :P

lomax - 12-4-2003 at 12:39 PM

yeah. its best to stick to the central part. planet hollywood is poo, but the dungeons are quiet good. u should have gone to madame tousads (spel?!) i like camden too. very nice. alot of venues to, i love brixton academy/astoria/electtric ballroom. are all cool

I'm reading all these posts and am so damn jealous! The first time I was out of the state of California was when I went to Chicago for my 24th b-day last year!! No cool overseas trips for dear ol' poobsie..But, I'm saving up for Germany in 2006 for World Cup!! Whooo!!:D

lomax - 12-5-2003 at 04:00 AM

oh yes! a footy fan! you folow english 'soccer'? i have a season ticket at WEST HAM!!! we got relegated last season, but we will be back. man, i thought EVERYONE in the us hated football. and you obvious follow it a bit, seeing as your gonna go to 2006. i will probably go to. (*thinks of horrible english hooligans fighting in the streets*) maybe i wont. depends how many hammers players are in the squad!

poobs - 12-5-2003 at 11:58 AM

Dude..We grew up on soccer!! Oh..I mean football..:saint: We went to a few games when the World Cup was here in the US back in 94 and my sister has travelled to France in 98 and Japan just last year for it! Unfortunately, it takes money so I had to miss out, but I'm so stoked about Germany! I get in fights with my friends all the damn time over soccer..They just don't see the talent you need to be a good player..You should totally go! It's gonna be a good time! Look for me with my USA Cape and face paint!!;):D

Noisemonster - 12-16-2003 at 04:33 AM

hello to all,
sorry I'm a n00b... and guess what, I'm from Germany! ...also looking forward to the World Cup!
so, am I the only german 'bot ?? (except for the half of draconian)

draconian - 12-16-2003 at 06:40 AM

Welcome to the board---are you going to be able to make the Munich or Berlin shows in February then?

I can mail you some promo stuff, some stickers and pins...just send me a U2U with your name and address.

Noisemonster - 12-16-2003 at 09:09 AM

thanks! I don't know if I can make it to one of the shows cuz I've got no car and no money... and Munich and Berlin are both far away from Frankfurt. maybe a friend of mine can take me there... I don't know.
so I hope that there are more shows in cities that are not so far away from here... so keep me updated! ;)

Talz - 12-20-2003 at 09:25 AM
