Tonights show was fucking great, i was front row with my gf... and i just had a blast. i sang along to every song.... and my gf said alex has the
smallest ankles, that she could literally put her hand around it, lol.
well the best part of the night is that i got to meet alex during the junior/senior set. he was just kicking it where they were selling there stuff.

Right on, Nolram (or however you spell it!), that was a fine performance by the guys and seeing as it was the first one I was able to see with Scott
Devours on drums, a real treat...he brings a little something different to the table, which is highly valued in this band--another contributor to the
grand mix.
The guys played an album-based set, mostly, with STD Dance thrown in there to funkify the room about 2/3 of the way in. The kids to the right of the
stage were giving off some incredibly good energy that Alex definitely played off of. And Poobs holding down the front row with Batcave Baby, as
well!
We have some awesome photos from this one, Alex and JMJ were up on any number of fixtures throughout the set, with the craziest moment coming during
12=3 was it? When he climbed this beam all the way up to the sound booth and started mocking Casper, their excellent soundman, for no reason at all.
Scott was also incredible--Black Jettas being his moment to shine, really...spoke with him after the show and was a little surprised to hear that he
comes from a household where he heard mostly folk music growing up--this guy plays like a madman, not like a New Christy Minstrel. He mentioned that
his #1 influence was Elvis Costello, actually, which was also not what I expected.

oh cool. what is the crowd like at an ima robot gig? i mean, you said alex 'played off' the energy. what were they doing? just interested in
what the crowds general vibe is. (oh, i just realised, that if you were at the front, you probably cant tell what was going on behind you!) is there a
'pit' (god i hate that word!) or people skanking (i hate that word too!!)? so, whats the vibe?

Robot front row holder-downer. We really had to fight for the right at this show. A few (as in two) bruised knees caused by holding the up the
weight of the world (okay, it was just the pressure from the crowd behind us), but nothing at all serious. The show was definitely high energy, but
for some reason had a different feel than the Roxy show. The Roxy seemed to have more of a raw (oh, that's the way I like it) sexually frenetic
energy. The action on stage during 12=3 was totally I sight! It was great! And STD dance was a little more bumpin' than I've heard

The boy-on-boy action was unexpected and titillating. Ha...don't know which song Alex and JMJ had their moment, but I'm pretty sure
it's in the pics. Phobiac might get around to putting those up tonight.
We had to get out of there as today was an early morning. Caught about half of Junior/Senior, always a good time with them and I hope they return for
a headlining date in Minneapolis sometime soon.
Hadn't heard about the Long Beach booking December 18th, I will look into it though!
edit: Oh yeah, and by feeding off the audience's energy, I mean that Alex seems to interact more naturally with the crowd if he sees that
they're responding. They can put on a great show no matter how deadpan the audience is (we witnessed the Turin Brakes opener in front of the
most morose crowd I've ever seen) but it's a lot more fun for the audience and I bet the band as well when there's a feeding frenzy for
the music going on.

Not so much stage dive as he kinda falls in with the crowd if he missteps off of a monitor or something. At a couple of the Viper Room shows he came
