Just got back from seeing this show and, in the words of David Cross, I will never, ever, ever, EVER, NERVER slam The Quest for any reason whatsoever as a music venue. I was standing outside looking for a ticket (they sold out fast), with a few other stragglers trying for the same. One by one, they gave up, until there was only this guy and I trying and Jet had already gone on.

Finally, three songs into Jet's set, the other guy gets a ticket and I'm left out there with nothing. It looks bleak. Then the doorlady calls up to the management and some guy comes down and tells me to just go in, quiet-like. I scamper through, thank him profusely, and get to enjoy this show gratis. How awesome is that? Mark my words, I'm going to track this guy down and buy him a bottle of something salty.

For it was a tremendous show. I really like the Vines' new take on Winning Days, and Jet rocked the house per usual. Spoke with Ryan from the Vines after and he sounded like everyone was much happier on this tour compared to the last. They did have a less loose stage presence, which is good. They needed to rein it in a bit and they did.

Next time I will bust my ass to get advanced tickets earlier. After I lecture everyone on this board about it, sheesh...

Nice job, Drac!! I wanted to see this show, but not bad enough to spend the cash..Maybe I should hang out in front..

I think the key was being nice to the door people and looking like I was going to fall over from the cold.

dammit. i'm going to that show tomorrow nite. i'm a huge fan of the living end but you missed their set. bah. glad to hear it was good though! i've been looking forward to it for awhile now.
