These days celebrities are as outspoken about their music playlists as they are about their politics. And it's not just Moby who wants to program
your iPod (check out his Top Protest Songs play- list on iTunes.com).
From megaplex mainstays to C-list strivers, stars have come out in droves to discuss their digital music. Over the past few weeks, we've
pow-wowed with dozens of boldface names - everyone from Sean (P. Diddy) Combs to Julia Stiles, Josh Hartnett to Gary Sheffield - to find out
what's streaming into their ears.
One star confessed to listening to a seemingly toxic combination of Christina Aguilera and John Denver while jogging. Another told us he boots up
Linkin Park's "Crawling" when off-road motorcycling. Find out who said what by taking our very own Daily News iQuiz (patent pending),
facing page.
For once, the rich and famous aren't the only ones with access to a hot product. Mere mortals can actually afford to have the latest
entertainment-industry accessory - a well-stocked playlist.
To date, more than 100 million songs have been downloaded from Apple's iTunes at 99 cents a pop. Meanwhile, competitors like the RealPlayer Music
Store are angling for a bigger cut of the music market, offering ditties for a mere 49 cents.
Thanks to iTunes' deals with all the major labels, the company offers legal downloads, which is one reason piracy-averse artists have lined up to
support it. That also explains why so many of them have been so willing to open up their hard drives to closer scrutiny.
But what do these rock 'n' roll revelations tell us about celebs as a group? Daily News statisticians have been burning the midnight oil,
poring over both our exclusive data and information provided by iTunes. The results are astounding and have been crafted into easily digestible charts
and graphs for your viewing pleasure.

I just thought about this since it is on again in the office. Of course it's going to be #1 on an ipod. It's alphabetical order. :duh:
