Anyone know anything about Anna Waronker?



I see that she is playing at Spaceland on the 21st of March. Had to check into the last name; sure enough, sister to Joey Waronker.

Yea, she was (is?) a member of That Dog. They used to play with and hang out with Beck back in the day (~1993), both live and in the studio even. Haven't heard her solo record, but I've always liked her voice on the That Dog songs I've heard.

Yeah, I read up on that.

Anyway, worth it just for the album cover. Why do I always sink to the lowest level?

Those MP3s are just intros. I listented to the album and I must admit that I am a sucker for female vocalists. I have to say that I like it. Some of it reminds me of Hole and Courtney Love. Having said that, I'm note sure if one would take that as a compliment or a insult.

There's also something to Anna's voice that reminds me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs lead singer.

I almost sunk to the very same level and commented on her sexiness, but restrained my comments to just about her voice.
