etre et avoir

has anybody seen it?
were watching it in (guess what..) french class now, and i loooove it! for some reason the cute little toddlers totally make up for the lack of plot, tension and storyline

Quote:
Inspired by the French phenomenon of ‘single-class’ schools ÊTRE ET AVOIR charts the life of a small one-class village school over the course of one academic year, and takes a warm and serene look at primary education in the French heartlands.

A dozen youngsters, aged 4-10, are brought together in one classroom and taught every subject by one single teacher of extraordinary dedication.

A master in quiet authority, schoolteacher Georges Lopez patiently navigates the children towards adolescence, cooling down their arguments and listening to their problems.

I have an inexplicable affinity for french children. Hence, my undying love for Truffaut's "L'argent de Poche".

If we're talking documentaries about kids, my favorite is the one about Jacques D'Amboise and all the kids he teaches to prance around in foam costumes, the dance instruction film...what the hell is it called, something like "He Makes You Dance" or similar.

I do want to see both of the French films mentioned, now.
