Back from Paris / IMA Parrot

I returned Wednesday night from my trip
to Paris...been there for a couple of days to
visit my boyfriend who has to do an internship
there. argh, it´s so expensive and the French
are so damn arrogant when you can´t speak
their language. They would try to diddle me
very often ...particularly when giving out
change. boy, is that brand-new Luis Vuitton
shop at the Champs-Elysèes ugly. it has
Japanese girls taking pictures of themselves
with the LV symbol in the background 24/7.
Been walking around and saw lots of things.
Went up the Eiffel Tower (where Duran Duran
shot the "View To A Kill" video!!!) and for a
boat trip on the Seine. Their subway closes at
midnite unfortunately and it´s like impossible
getting a cab so once we had to walk around
90 minutes to get home. aaargh. Been to that
cemetery where Jim Morrison´s grave is on,
the Sacre Coer, Montmarte, NotreDame etc etc
etc. There was this guy selling souvenirs who
called me "baby girl" i took a picture
of the original signature of Napoleon the 1st!!!
what i liked best....we´ve been to a giant
vintage market with everything you can
think of and there was this 80s parrot robot
and it would at times just turn on randomly
and let go a weird noise or a strange sentence.
i loved it so so much. oh if only i´d bought it.

Oh man, that does sound like fun. The only reason I'd go to Paris is to go to Notre Dame. . . . .

This is the beat we live and die to.

oh well. not travelling THAT much.
i still know which country i´m currently
at.

notre dame was pretty
impressive. though it didn´t look
like in the quasimodo movie.

this is its front:

and the side which is way more
appealing:

but Sacre Coeur is a sheela, too:
