Ima Robot gets a taste of Heavy Metal chili and lives...hopefully
Well at twelve noon on any given saturday,
how easy is it to rock out with your dirty life,
to an audience comprised of children of the Nascar generation and their hellbilly parents?
Apparently very easy. Cheap sunglasses sold separately. This 'event' is as hillbilly redneck as I really wanna see, this side of Texas,
given ZZ top or Ted Nugent is the main attraction, which is a must see for me before they ...or I die, if I have to ever see so much spilt chili on
age old pavement again this lifetime.
Exluding of course 'dirty life', which was probably a good call at that hour, the set was classic; full of antics you do in front of this
'type of crowd...behind the head bass playing, mock makeouts and grinding guitars against one another.
They left enough room only for bozos to come up and mop up afterwards. A little while later, they did the meet and greet, signing stuff and hanging
out with the yokels.
I got some good hang time in myself and we went off to sample the local troth pots full of
chili mania...some forty booths were all over, including..."the devils chili", which had the 'cooks'
wearing aprons with 'blood' on them and a ten foot tall demon in chains...somewhat mechanically moving, with glowing eyes. Justin was all
over the chili for the most part, but gasped at the intensity of this particular potion. Ebert smilingly said he had already had some, but he thinks
they put blood in theirs. Exellent. The look on JMJ's face after just a couple bites, was like an amature after attempting to swallow fire.
I don't eat chili.
I couldn't stand it any longer after awhile and had to bail on the Hung Meister Willy...it was adulterated torture,
but I got some great photos to post soon of the stage show and the chili dilly... and a great shot of Blaxyl Rose and Rocket Queen, who are a full on
G-N-R, appetite for destruction tribute, with Black lead singer Axl.
Great singer, bozo drummer, but Japanese Slash! I'm down -word

Highly disturbing account of the events of the day, Trev. Probably the only time the band has played in front of trucker hats worn un-ironically.

you don't get it. These people don't wear trucker hats. I'm serious. They wear shit eating grins fueled by a genuine love of
budweiser and braces with green bands in between. There is also this simultaneous whitey hip-hop jibe that was coming from all corners...teenagers
slow, shall I say limp grinding? on top of portable P.A. speakers (I saw two girls facing each other 'dancing' on one of these cabinets)
that were pumping pop hits (chingy, Outkast, clipse), oh and seeing as how indegestion was the spelling bee feeling/spell stumper for the day, lines
for the port a johns were like near miles long.
But I repeat, trucker hats were all bought out last year and refurbed by Von Dunce and the Neptunes...these hats are on backorder I've been
told, except for the one I bought in Alabama with a huge skull on the whole front of a truck that reads..."highway to hell"...now
that's some legit
shizit. "SPIN?...you mean like Sit-n-Spin?"

Man I can't hold it back, and granted these two 'states', Virginia and West Virginia are as far apart as
Florida and Germany, you wonder if some defect at some point, but , ok, here
goes...
How do you know that the tooth brush was invented in West Virginia?
