Just curious if anyone has seen the new Harry Potter flick? I heard Gary Oldman is in it.....I loved Gary Oldman in Sid & Nancy........hmmmm.....please leave any comments about the movie.....:saint:

I SAW IT!!! I'm a big goober and lobve Harry Potter, so I really dug it..Gary Oldman isn't in it that much, but he's really good..The movie is much darker than the others, which matched the book perfectly..They do much more exterior stuff and the setting is beautiful..The first time I saw it, I think I was expecting it to be EXACTLY like the book, which it wasn't..But I went to see it again with Brody and knew what to expect and I totally dug it more..:D I'm bummed this director isn't doing the next one..He captured the darkness of this one so well and the next one is even darker..Yay!!! :D:D:D

I'm gonna go ahead and agree with poobs. One thing that I didn't really like was the new guy for Dumbledore. I guess it's the best one they could have picked, I just liked the old one more. But over all, go Harry Potter.

I agree about Dumbledore..The guy wasn't as warm and charming as the original, but he was also a bit more funny..The hippogriffs were fucking sweet!!!

Ian McKellan was rumored to be getting the Dumbledore part after the first guy died, but he didn't.

The fourth book is the best!! I can't wait to see that. I also can't believe they cut Cho out of the third movie. Ah well, she's apparently going to be in the fourth, for sure. OK, I'm sounding like a bigger goober than Poobs...

Dude..I was surprised they didn't introduce Cedric Diggory! He plays a pretty big part in the next one!! Ah well..

I totally dug the Quiddich scenes..With that black dog in the clouds? That was sweet looking..

Hey, Harry Potter's cool in my book!

The only thing I didn't like about this movie was that Oliver Woods wasn't in it Talk about hot! And with a Scottish accent to boot!

Yeah, that guy was definitely cute. Too bad he wasn't in it. I can't wait to see the fourth one, I loved the book. I heard they were making two movies out of it, but maybe there was just too much crack involved that day.

Yeah..I heard they were going to do two movies also..There's just so much to the book, I don't see how they could do a 2 hour movie out of it..I hope they just say screw it and do a 4 hour movie or something..I don't want to have to wait to see the rest of it!!

They've scrapped the two movie plan. I read that they briefly considered it, but the screenwriter said they couldn't figure out a good way to cut it.

Which is weird, because if I remember the book right, the first half is the Quidditch World Cup and the second half is that Tri-Wizard Competition dealie. Seems like a natural cutting point to me.

No..They didn't do the Quiddich Cup cuz of the Tri-Wizard Competition in that book..:D
