Add to this depressing song list.

o.k.; you guys did such a great job with the rock song list here's another. it may seem a little queer, but WTF.

on my way to work the following two songs were playing:

My Grace Is Gone - DMB - Lilywhite Studio Sessions
I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine - Beth Orton - Trailer Park

I dig both for some reasons...what others?

the most depressing song for me is:

nine inch nails - something i can never have

nine inch nails - hurt is also depressing, but not as much as the other one.
hmmm.. there are a lot of other depri-songs, but no idea right now

droplets of \'yes\' and \'no\' in an ocean of \'maybe\'

Yea, shoot, all of Sea Change

Bob Dylan "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go"
Portishead "Glory Box" [I think this might be the best song ever]
Leonard Cohen "Alexandria Leaving" [this one is perfect]
Big Star "Kangaroo"
Gillian Welch "I Dream A Highway" [oh god, this one gets me]
Mazzy Star "Fade Into You" [they have a lot to choose from though]
The Byrds "Why"
Hank Williams "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry"
Johnny Cash "I Still Miss Someone"

I could also make a long list of blues songs...

Ben Folds - Brick
The Smiths - Meat is Murder (probably the saddest song i've ever heard)
The Wallflowers - One Headlight
Third Eye Blind - My Hit and Run
Live - Dolphin's Cry
The Cranberries - Zombie

But I never thought you\'d be a junkie
because heroin is so passe
now a-day.
You never thought you\'d get addicted,
just be cooler in an obvious way.
I could say, shouldn\'t you have got
a couple piercings and decided
may-be that you were gay.
