so, this time no lovey-dovey post from me but something serious and "non-cool" but bummerish. i´m so pathetic and sad today. had trouble at the office and i´ve been rebuked....and so i went to our rest room and cried and get frantic telling myself that a lot of the staff don´t like me --although lots of people say that it ain´t true. that´s so weird ....i mean i can be so mean to people but when it comes to someone critizing me i can´t cope with it. i´m so overly sentimental ...i wished i could get rid of that. what do you think ?

I'm not the most stable person to ask this kind of stuff but I'll try my best to help.
I have that all the time. The co worker relations are always a bit harder for me because, well, they have to be nice to you, even if they hate you. It's hard to tell how they feel about you. Plus, most the time, you’re in an almost high school style gossip arena. I don't really think it will go away. You just have to learn to deal with it. People will hate you, others will love you, but who cares either way. You can't spend your life worrying about it. Just be true to yourself, and if they do hate you (and I'm sure they don't) ignore it, it only shows how stupid they are.
then When someone confronts you about things, because your on an unsteady ground, and your trying so hard to do well, and your left out in the open, it hurts a bit more. I think it's a normal thing that can happen to most, and you just need to find a way to look at it so you don't feel so bad. For me I like to think that I was trying hard, they were having a bad day, and things happen. But yes, it's always going to be a bit difficult.

So glad this came up. I hope this helps. First of all, if you do your job correctly you have nothing to worry about. There are negative personalities in every microcosm. You have to anticipate this wherever you go, and have a game plan. It's like everyday a pitcher knows he has to go, and pitch a baseball game, and he knows exactly what to expect. As I've gotten older, I've learned not to care about negative people in surroundings. They may contaminate the office by starting rumors, or just have a general bad-attitude, and I just ignore them. My sister just recently quit a job, because the guy she worked with was very condescending to her, and I could only wish that was me. I love putting people in their place that deserve it. I would've just talked back to him the same way. Especially if he wasn't a superior. The place I'm @ right now had this young kid ex-military (he thought he was the shit). I scoped him out within the first few hours of working here, and knew I was going to have a problem. He was the kind of guy that would question everything you do, and point out every mistake. After familiarizing myself with the routine, and getting more confident, we had this major blow-up where I'm like, "Dude, you think this is Rocket Science we're doing here? No. If we have something aging on our system that needs to be credited, and we know it's bullshit get it out of there regardless if we're missing some supporting documents too old to obtain."(gets a lil deeper than that, but you get the jist). After that, we still had our minor escalations, but in the long run he was a lazy-negative-complainer that couldn't make it the distance, and finally quit. Now I'm in heaven.:D So basically what I'm saying is that endurance, and longevity are key to success. Think globally act locally.

I used to be very passive, and not recognize bullshit when I first see it. Now I do. My friend Jeff once just punched this guy just for saying "HI" to his girlfriend when we were out. It seemed drastic at the time, but now I look back on it, and think that was totally cool. I'm waiting for someone to piss me off now, because I don't have a girlfriend, I'm broke, and I live with my MOM!!! I need to punch someone.

Yeah, I hate the work place. I always got picked on by shitty biddy old women who worked in the same office. So, I started bartending part time years ago (haven't in 4 years) for extra cash when I lived alone. Well, then I had all of the girls there hitting on me. They were always in the back showing eachother there new boobs and such. I always hated working with women..They're just so drama and bitchy.. I have to get a better job, but it's not so bad at Noah's anymore..They FINALLY fired this one chick who was a total tweaker..Funny..Now that she's gone, our tips are WAY bigger and the food costs have gone down significantly..Hmmm..

When I first got the job I am at now, I used to come home almost everyday with a sad face cause I though no one liked me, no one wanted to talk to me blah blah blah....
It took me a whole year to realize, if I get my job done, and right then who cares what anyone thinks, my attitude has totally changed me because of work. Not everyone was going to like me so i've learned just to deal with it. I've realized I work with a bunch of idiots who can sell a house but have <b>no common sense</b>, and that's sad. So they way I see it now is as long as I get paid every friday who cares what these people think they don't pay my bills. I hate to sound so negative but that's life and all you can is make the best of it See 7cut your not the only one with those kinda feelings, i hope we have all been some sort of help ...

thanks a large deal !! that really cheered me up ....the worst thing i´ve ever done was a summer job like 3 years ago. working at a pizza place run by Indians (haha) who sexually harrassed me. they didn´t touch me but tell me dirty stuff all of the time whilst i was washing the dishes. well, now i´m at a label so i´ve sorta "come a long way". hehehe. the American dream ....always starting off washing dishes.
