HOB Sunset Strip
A fun show by the Bot tonight. Standard fare on the setlist, though the new songs really shined. Creeps Me Out and Tumbling Down both played great
live. I'm A Bitch For You was a cool surprise.
In other news, House of Blues would appear to contain no fewer than 17 different bars yet it has no coat check.

Creeps Me Out was certainly a highlight, as well as was seeing the Riff, Evil Motivator, Juno, and Marvin (the latter in the crowd).
I have to say that the openers were less than thrilling, the only exception being the first band on...I felt bad for you guys in the front row who had
to endure the others.
So nice to see Ima Robot back onstage. Justin did seem floored by the reaction. The place was pretty well packed with fans, this despite having only
an EP to push and the two new songs. It seemed the crowd appreciated the band as much as in the post-album heyday (Henry Ford show, anyone?)
I have four EPs to dole out. $5 plus $2 shipping if you live in the U.S. Seacap and one other person have already claimed two of them. If anyone is
interested, send me a U2U with your info and I will email you my address so you can send the dough.
We missed you, Poobs! And were you there, Neuwave?

If it hasn't already been posted, the setlist was as follows:
1. Song #1
2. Alive
3. Dirty Life
4. STD Dance
5. I'm Your Bitch
6. Stick it to the Man
7. Tumbling Down
8. Scream
9. Dynomite
10. 12=3
11. Here Come the Bombs
ENCORE:
1. Ages of Ruin
2. Creeps Me Out
3. Black Jettas
4. Party All the Time
I'll wax nostalgic once I get some some sleep.

Unfortunately, the Bot got beat out by a cozy night out of the rain with a King Kong DVD, and weed.
I forgot how miserable it feels after missing a show.
That makes it the second time that I've purchased 4 tickets, and not showed up. No regrets. Just showing my love.

What songs are actually on the EP? I've heard lots about it but nothing to do with what's actually on it! I'd love to get my hands on
one, but living in Europe doesn't help my case I'd imagine...
[Edit] - I suppose it would help if I'd bothered to look in the Releases & Recordings section first! Now I'm enlightened!

Damn, sorry I missed you wrestling match!
I don't think Buttcave Barbie ever met Sandra. Probably for the best, she's not so into the Germans
Sandra left for Brisbane a couple days ago but she'll be back in a couple months. Too bad she'll miss the CS tour. . .

Yeah, DungareeRuboff, you're totally right, die Deutschen und ich sind nicht Busenfreunde. Or something like that. Were you on that trip Matt?
Or did I just torture all the other fellows?

So the show
was radical. I was in a bit of a foul mood, on account of being deathly ill, until Ima Robot came on. The opening bands, were not much to be
discussed. I especially thought the first band was horrible. Gram Rabbit was fairly interesting to watch, but the monotone vocals for most of their
songs wasn't real impressive. Unfortunately, I can be seen in two of the cobrasnake photos. They were taken during the opening acts, so my foul
mood is quite palpable in the photos.
When robuns first came on stage, I yelled hi to Justin, and I was surprised that he actually recognized me, considering I look different from the last
time I saw them over a year ago, and he probably meets thousands of fans every year. He was as alway so kind, and came forward to say hi and grab my
hand (Matt got faced). Later in the show Justin handed me an EP instead of throwing it out into the crowd, and he gave me the set list at the end of
the show. It always surprises me how amazingly nice and humble Justin is. And what a fucking amazing musician as well.
Anyway, I was thrilled that they played Ages of Ruin and I'm Your Bitch. Alex was energetic and...see through. I'm disappointed that the
dance-off didn't develop into a Girls Just Wanna Have Fun-like scene. This is my first time seeing them since Filip (spelling?) has been on
board, and I thought he added some nice touches to the older material, but I do miss Ollie's stagemanship (if that's a word). I can't
wait til they start playing more often. By the time I made my way to the merch table the EPs were all sold out. So thank you Justin for hooking me
up.

Curious...what have the Germans
done you take a dislike in diese
Leute --- talking post-war, okay? :D
I grumble about Germans when
I´m in Germany but ever since I
moved to Austria and Austrians
grumble about Germans all the
time I get very patriotic fighting
like a mother lion.
btw. Justin is really kind.......
Long while ago when i first
saw Beck and yelled his name,
he´d come over and hug, and
take pictures and talk. He´s
taking his time for people..rare
thing in much but much much appreciated!
