I know how to get songs off myspace (or any site) that aren't "downloadable".

It's similar to imarob2's method (Ima Robot Forums » Releases & Recordings » new cover song), but you can use it on Windows. Just go to goldwave.com and download their program. It's a trial version, so if you want to keep using it you'll have to download it and then uninstall and probably repeat the process if you use it a lot.

Before you use it you'll wanna go to Options, Control Properties, and then Volume and turn everything to zero before you record. You'll also need to know the length of the song you want to download. You just hit record and then play the music you want to record, then hit Save As whatever when it's done recording.

You'll probably want to turn IM's off while you're recording because it records whatever noises come up through the moniter (not exterior sound, unless you have the mic volume still on) which is how you get the song. Enjoy!

Just about any WAV Editor should be able to do this. I dig Audacity, which is entirely free (it won't nag you to buy anything 'cause there's nothing to buy).

yeah but if you want to support a band it´s nicer BUYING their stuff rather than downloading it all.

Total Recorder by High Criteria is a very good tool for this sort of stuff.

I usually do buy group's albums that I like. I just use this to get songs that aren't out yet, plus most bands don't stream their whole albums.
