ok ok ok. a lot has happened. this is overwhelming.
Wiltern
crowd sucked. it was weird set-up. played two new songs. both were fucking awesome. andy is great. has totally won our approval. great on vocals. and
filip is rockin the bass.
Acoustic at Total Control
awesome awesome awesome. wish the rest of the band was there. just timmy and alex. played alive, scream, creeps me out, and tumbling down. very
relaxed and fun. had a little too much to drink and danced to alex DJing. very fun in all.
Grove (1st night)
bad crowd. played same new songs. scott fuckin rocked it harder than ever (that is until the next night in which he topped his performance and rocked
even fuckin harder). ended the show by asking whether they should play black jettas or tumbling down. stella and i requested tumbling down (as it is
becoming our new favorite live song) and we got what we wished. amazing amazing show.
Grove (2nd night)
MUCH better crowd. maybe best performance i've ever seen by the band. they are really coming together with this new line-up. andy's amp got
fucked in the very beginning, but he managed to fix it and put on an amazing performance. alex hurt is finger pretty bad on scott's drums during
dirty life. it was bleeding a lot. but he acted like it was nothing and kept on singing. played two new songs, one of which was stick it to the man
aka hot banana which probably had the best drums and guitar of any other ima robot song (timmy got to play an amazing solo in the end which pretty
much melted my face off while scott rocked the drums so hard i thought they would break) it looks like filip is getting a lot more comfortable on bass
and seems to be having fun on stage. we talked to the guys a bit after the show and they seem to be liking the new band arrangment.
and as for the Morongo show... I'll update soon.
Oh, and Paula.... Scott never stays after the shows so we can never tell him how kickass he was. So convey that message to him, ok?
p.s. Stella's skull has melted to the ground. But before it melted, she said she liked Andy's dancing and Scott's hair.
I agree.

awesome reviews! thank you! love you. sounds like alot of fun has been had so far. I miss chatting with you all in person. From what I have heard, you
are right on with the analysis of the crowds and such.
Not sure where Scott disappears to after gigs. Is he shy? Is he stuck-up? on the run from the law??? maybe he is trying to be mysterious- ha.
The guys have a few days off before the show on the 27th so he will be stuck out here in the desert with me... supposed to be 114 degrees so perhaps
Scotts head will melt off too... hope not though, its hard to kill it on the drums without a cranium, etc... and there is nowhere to put your good
haircut.
thanks for the first report, I look forward to more! ciao~

I agree the crowd wasn't that cool; throwing quarters at the performers isn't cool and never a good sign. I knew there was a reason I
didn't care for the O.C.; double that up when you're inland 30+ miles.
It was pretty cool when SWR thanked Ima Robot and the crowd did give a pretty loud confirmation; so it appears Ima Robot made an impression. I heard
many a concert-goer that night say I have no idea who Ima Robot is...but looks like they liked them in the end.
Yes, Tumbling Down was very amazing!
Phobs.

Ok..I saw them in Sacramento..Stella was lovely enough to let me and my son join them in the front of the line so we were able to secure spots in the
front..Well, almost in the front..Brody had a bit of a fit so I lost my space in the very front, but second row is alright, too.. Aaaaanyways, the best part, for me, was watching my son go from terrified
of the loud music, to bopping his head and singing along to Ima Robot..I've seen Ima Robot so many times that it was nice to be able to put my
attention on something else for a bit.. For me, the experience was very odd..I
really miss JMJ..It just seems like something is missing..It'll take some getting used to, but they still rocked hard and it was still a treat to
see them..I'm looking forward to a headlining tour when the album comes out..So is Brody..

yeah.. it is fun to think this is just a precursor/warmup. and i'm really eager to hear people's reactions to JMJ being gone. i was VERY
sad when i heard the news. as long as it's not like.. debilitating the band in any way i guess it's cool.
was that brody's first ima show?? he's got the coolest mom! my mom was too busy taking me to micheal bolton.. micheal bolton was, unfortunately, my first concert.. and that makes me feel UBER
cool.
what were the new songs like?
i dream of ebert.

Brody saw them at Warped Tour, but he was WAY in the back and it was outside and blah blah blah..He DID get to meet all of the guys at that show,
though..They signed his Angels hat and Justin gave him an autographed pick and a wrist band thing that he wore the other night..:D They only did 1 new
song and it was kind of a slow one..Like I said, they didn't disappoint, but I've seen JMJ in the band for so many years that it's just
very odd to see someone else in his place..He is missed..Brody and I were pretty tired so we took off and didn't try to talk to the guys..Next
time, I guess..
