so i woke up this morning to find my ipod completely dead, tried everything and the screen is just black. i think it could be the battery but it's only like 9 or 10 months old. this same thing happened to my last one. i'm totally torn because i love it, but it's way too much money.

no, completely gone. i'm pretty sure a new battery is all it needs. what have you got? the ones i saw were like $65 which is better than 300 for a new ipod but still.

no. it should function like normal while plugged in if its the battery. my hold switch went bad and made it hard to un-hold it to be able to turn it on. it could possibly be that, or some other hardware problem.
