So I went to Club Lingerie last night to see Drizz..First impression of the club, kinda sketchy..But Drizz was already playing, so no need to dwell, eh? He doesn't have a huge list of songs, so I totally recognized most of them..I really dig Victor's style..He plays drums up front and sings..He has so much energy and really gets into the music..He also has a wicked guitar player, keyboard player, piano player, bass, and a back up singer guy..He sang a song about his friend who just recently passed away in a car crash..He said that she was a heroin addict, and was driving up to San Fran to get some help with getting clean when someone crashed into her and she died..Life is so fickle sometimes..So, all in all, it was a great set..He played one or two new songs, but the old ones are still great as well..I spoke with him after and he gave me a holiday hug and said about 5 times in the 2 minute span of our conversations, "thank you so much for coming out to see us.." He said he's not going to be touring as much this next year (i wanted to ask who he's been touring with, but thought it might be kinda rude), so hopefully he'll be playing more often around town..He said that everything else with the band is up in the air..He's such an extremely nice guy, and looks pretty damn good in a wife-beater..So, I encourage you all to keep a look out for Drizz and see them when they're in town..:D:D:D

P.S. The second band was a bunch of strippers who were getting fondled by some of the losers in the crowd..Needless to say, we left after the first song..

They tour nationally, Poobs? I would love to check them here in Mpls. at some point. I inventoried the bands I saw this year and found that Beck and Ima Robot had accounted for like 50% of the bands I saw this year, and if you tossed in the Vines it would be 75%. Considering I saw like 30 shows, that's a lot!

So why was the joint so sketchy? Did they still have Lita Ford posters on the walls?

No..They had Lita Ford look-a-likes!!They were doing some kind of X-Mas theme, but they had chicks at a kissing booth wearing lingerie stuff..But, they were part of the second band!!So the band was playing "Fever" and they had two of these chicks (you could totally tell they were strippers) dancing and..I kinda blocked it out..But I do remember this one chick bringing some nasty looking guy on to the floor to dance and he touched her boob and was fondling her butt and he gave her a kiss..It was so awful..Funny, but awful..And there wasn't even a sign outside or anything..And it was kinda dirty..And old looking..And they did a cake walk with paper plates taped to the ground..It was an experience..Why, Victor??Why??:D

Ha! Too funny, probably how Ima Robot felt when Dogfashion Disco went on before them at the Troubador (ask Phobiac for a colorful description of the band).

They probably felt that the gyration distracted from the music.

It's so damn funny that these people can't just put their music out there on it's own..They have to have some kind of distraction to take away from how awful they really are..hahaaa!:D
