Short CDs

I love Ima Robot and The Caesars and The Flaming Sideburns, but I would like to know why all these freaking albums are now no longer than 30 to 45 minutes long? I remember a time when they used to be at least 1 hour long or sometimes more. As more bands come out and time goes on, the albums put out seem to be getting shorter and shorter. Is anyone else peeved about this or just me?

Well don't you love every song on the IMAR album?
They dont drag the album on with skits, and songs that you have to skip.
All the songs are good.
Only their best songs make the cut for the album.
Im okay with the whole short album thing
short n sweet:yes:
Just my opinion

I LOVE that song by The Caesars--"Jerk it Out". I taped the video off of FUSE a few months ago and that song makes me wanna get up and scream and dance. Ooooh, that singer is adorable!:P

And I love the Flaming Sideburns! They and The Hives are known for the punchy, abbreviated, 2 minutes of energy in their songs, and both have released short CDs. Yet you still get like 15 songs.

I remember that every time I've seen The Hives play live, they can only do about 40 minutes because their act is so high energy that they get wiped out soon after.

Yeah, I love the Caesars! Once, like 4 years ago, a friend who lived in Sweden for a while, showed them to me (back then, they were called Caesars Palace), and I immediately fell in love with their unique warm sound. Absolutely no one knew them here. So it was a biiiiiiiiiig surprise when my favorite club eventually played 'Jerk It Out' last summer and I said OMFG, must be Caesars Palace!
They also appeared on Terremoto Festival where I first saw Ima Robot!

Yeah, I really like The Hives also. Are they coming out with anything new? I would love to see them live! Hopefully this summer will bring a tour or something....:D

Yes, they are. Due this spring, I believe. Apparently a big departure from their previous sound. The pic in the Rolling Stone has them in natty mariachi outfits.

I liked the Hives of lot...the lead singer reminded me of a young Mathew Broderick in Feris Bueler (is that how you spell it?). Anyhow, I saw their $2 Bill concert and fell in love with them instantly. I would love to see the Flamining Sideburn live, they seem to speak spanish but I think are from Viking Country...donts know specifically which one, but they throw out spanish lyrics in some of their songs. The Caesars are nice lovely beats and I love their music....
I have to admit that I havent seen any of the groups that I have the short DCs for, so I dont know if their shows are powerful or not, but I like their music, I just miss the G N R full length CDs that went on for hours, but, I suppose you take the good with the bad. I prefer short CDs now with good music than long ass CD with Blink or Good (FUCKING SAKES) Charlotte, which I would just put a blade to my wrists and kill myself while listening to the anti suicide song.
Dont worry, no suicidal tendencies here....
LONG ASS POST...SORRY
