Here's an update from JMJ that I'll post per his request:



Hi Friends. We in Ima Robot extend a fond hello to you all, and thanks
to those that showed their friendly faces on the Warped tour. We
really liked that tour - it far exceeded our expectations. We made
more new fans than at any time in our career, and definitely met a lot
of nice people. Since then, we've been super busy. Fresh off the
tour last week, within two days we were back in the studio. Every day,
the five of us are at Timmy's studio, writing songs and making demos.
We've got tons of material flowing, and it's fun. We're going to
Japan next week for Summersonic, then we have the Sunset Junction gig
here in LA in a couple of weeks, but other than those "interruptions",
we're in album mode big-time. We don't know who's producing or
anything yet, or when exactly we'll be doing the proper recording, but
those details will be forthcoming before too long. Also, we parted
ways with our managers Missy Worth and Mike Barzman, making this move
just before the Warped tour, in fact. It was an amicable split, and
we all certainly wish the two of them great success and happiness.
So, in addition to our writing and demoing work, we're meeting with
managers almost every day as well. So take heart! We're not sitting
around; in fact, we are very excited for our next chapter. Thanks to
EVERY ONE OF YOU for making our first "album cycle" a really great
experience. Your support is utterly essential to the survival of this
band and the perseverance of our ideals. Much love, JMJ

Oh, and my friend Simone would like to add that the new album should contain a few "std dance" style tracks as well as the usual ingredients.

Yay for STD Dance, I think they should just put it on the album as a bonus track or somthing, I love that song, but they dont have the single with that on it in any of the record stores i look in. Ya, so just stick it on there somewhere, I think that would be a good idea.
P.S. I think ur friend Simone has good ideas

How about an STD remix?

I dont usually like remixes, but these guys are geniuses so I bet they could pull off a good remix, but I still think they should just put it on there normal somehow.

aaaaand an old-skool Ebert track with some serious beat boxing....wee btw, there is this roadie / staff guy at the Atomic Cafe who looks like sort of a mix of Alex and Orlando Bloom. it´s scary. alas in a sort of positive way.

From what I hear the new album will have more of a DJ dance edge, in the vein of STD Dance and Spearmint.

haha, that one is weird enough to please me. it works as an instrumental, but you could also try vocals - especially if the song is longer.
