I bet you are. . . I don't really know anyone down in the "deep south" where it hit hardest so I'm not really effected by it,
except for gas. . .

Yea, that sucks. Alot of memphis doesn't have power right now, due to the nice breeze we had going over here, and I really mean nice, I'm
not being sarcastic, it was just like a rainy day back in the O.H. . . . . .

It is total Anarchy in New Orleans. People are looting the streets stealing not just food, but guns and electronical stuff. People are breaking into
nursing homes and stealing there medicine and food. People are killing other people for there food and water. People are shooting at choppers who are
rescuing other people and shouting at them "You better rescue my family next or I with shoot your plane down". People are dying. Total
chaos!!!!! I'm so glad that Georgia didn't get that much affect from it.

Yea I know it's so horrible! And the reason gas is going up so much is that they pump alot of oil in the gulf, and alot of rigs were all blown to
shit. It's is so horrible though, like so many people from there are coming up to memphis right now, and because they havea navy base there,
people from that base are coming up to this one, and I have refugees living in the house next to me as of today.

Man, I'm reading a newspaper about the citizens of New Orleans and people are trying to get them out and some are refusing to leave even though
the place is flooded. And some officers are commiting sucide. Some officers killed some people for shooting at contractors who were trying to rebuild
things. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! This shit makes me want to SCREEEEEEEAM!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's so horrible the whole thing! Dude, in the Super Dome when there were people in there, I guess some dude raped and killed this 7 year
old girl and all these people found out and beat him to death! I mean, needless to say, he deserved it. But that's still horrible!

I don't know what he said. But yea, have you been watching the news!? Inside the SuperDome people were dieing and being raped left and right! and
people were shooting and junk! Could you imagine being in there!? It's all pitch black becuase the power is out, and the plumbing isn't
working so you have to go to the bathroom right there in the middle of everyone, and when you leave to go to the bathroom there are these effed up
gangsters that are going to try to rape your kids, and these stupid dumb fucks walking around with semi-automatic weapons, acting like they are
running the place, and then the old people and babies are dying, and you havn't had any water or food for a few days! GAH! It must have been so
horrible for those people! and then to come out and realize that your whole world is destroyed, and all of those people that have been being moved
around for the past week, its so horrible. We were so unprepared for this.
This is the beat we live and die to.

I think Kanye is a fucking toolbox..I'm sick of everyone playing the race card in all of this..You could totally tell Mike Myers was so
uncomfortable..There's a time and a place for your political shit..A telethon where you're trying to raise money for "your people"
is not the way to do it..I can guarantee they lost some money cuz of his stupid ass..

Me being half black I must say that his remarks were very uncalled for. Very disrespectful. This should not be a race issue. People are dying. Black
and white.

i think kanye west might be retarded. did you hear how he was talking (nothing to do with what he was saying, just the way he was saying it)?
what's his issue?
unfortunately it put us in this situation where we had to abandon a lot of babies, you know?

I think he was nervous about what the camera men would do sense he just start making up his own stuff instead of going with what was written for him.

thought about that racism issue
also: but poor people have
been neglected and it just happens
that there is a very very high rate of
poor black people in new orleans
so that would be an explanation
maybe???? has any of you been
actually involved with "katrina"??

Dude, yesterday I came home from school to like ten Rent-a-Center trucks on my street because of all the people that were located up here because they
don't have anything. But yea, what I jerk that kenye person. I am sick of everything always turning into a "racism" issue! I'm
mean wtf?! It's stupid and unlogical! I mean like half of the usa is like "oh well new orleans has alot of black people, so we are just
going to sit back and wait a whole week" like people are really like that, stupid dumbasses, the only thing was just that we weren't
prepared for this, at all.

I look at it this way, alot of people in New Orleans where warned to leave the city, I seen it myself on tv. Some people were like "No, I'm
not leaving my house and thing behide. Then Katrina comes and floods the place and now people want to say "Oh we didn't get any
warning". They had enough time to get out. Now I understand that some couldn't leave cause of no cars ( in which the city of New Orleans
should have had ready), but they had enough time to leave.

Yea but what you don't realize is that you know new orleans is full of alot of poor people, and well, payday was like thursday and people
can't just pick up and leave like that, alot of people just didn't have the funds to leave, or some didn't have any where to go.
This is the beat we live and die to.
